“Only stayed for one night, but it was an enjoyable stay. As others have noted, you check in at the restaurant and then are directed to the door which leads to the staircase up to the hotel. We arrived before check in time and were just looking to store our luggage before we went up the hills, but as the room was available, the staff allowed us to go right away. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean. The rooms have a mini fridge and toiletries (shampoo/ body wash dispensers)……

“This is a gem in Assisi. I stayed here for one night before checking into another place in the historical town centre. The resort is super clean and quiet which allows you to relax as the town centre can sometimes be crowded with tour groups. There is a sauna in the room, also the view from the hotel is magnificent where you can see the panoramic view of the whole historical centre of Assisi. You won’t see it if you stay inside the town centre. It just takes 15-20min walk to the historical……

“It is elegantly decorated and maintained by the owner. Carmine had been warm and caring for our needs. The terrace on the rooftop overlooks the town. You can enjoy fantastic sunset there. Breakfast is also great. We had a very pleasant stay.”

“My wife and I spent two delightful evenings at Portica Homes Assisi in mid-June. Our hosts Pierre Luigi and Verica facilitated our arrival and, since we were on the top floor, (no lift), Pierre Luigi carried our luggage to our rooms, which we appreciated. Everything in the bedroom and bathroom were brand new. Our room was clean, well appointed and with amenities that we appreciated. Importantly, given the heat we left in Rome (and would find in Venice), the air conditioning was perfect. I……
