Cod Cove Inn, BW Signature Collection

6/10 Okay

"There was a sign at the desk saying to check in, call this # (an Atlanta phone no.) so I did. A man answered the phone and said someone would come out. After about 10 minutes a man appeared. He took our credit cards and IDs and disappeared for about 10 minutes. Very strange. He gave us keys (we were 2 people, 2 rooms). I asked for a ground floor room and he said it was not possible because the key was already made and he couldn’t change it. I insisted I needed a ground floor room. He had to call his boss because the boss was the only one who could make a key for a different room. Well it took over an hour to get a key - apparently the boss was somewhere else. The first guy did let me into my “new room” on the ground floor but I had no key so was stuck inside. I’ve never experienced such strange check-in procedures ever!"

"We enjoyed our stay here. We stayed on the 3rd floor. Had a private deck and beautiful view. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, water was hot, and the shower had good pressure. Area was great! Could walk to shops and restaurants. FYI.. room was a bit dated but it had Maine country vibes. I wouldn’t change it!"

"This property is a decent alternative and was perfectly fine for two nights. It’s not intended to be a resort hotel but instead, a reasonably priced alternative that is downtown and within walking distance of most the Richland has to offer. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, the AC worked and the staff was stellar. No complsints!"

Glen Cove Inn & Suites

"The Glen Cove was a fantastic stopover on my way home from Acadia. I stayed in unit 1 and enjoyed a lovely pond view. I was able to open windows for fresh air, which I love. The room was large, updated and very clean. It felt so homey! The staff was so nice. Though the property is right off Route 1, I felt like I was miles away from it. Location is very convenient to Camden and Rockland. I will definitely recommend the Glen Cove to my Maine visitors and stay here again myself."

"The room was well appointed and comfortable. Unfortunately, I did not put out the door tag for cleaning on the first night. I didn't see it, as it was under the Do Not Disturb sign. When I returned, the bed was not made and the used towels were still in the bathroom. After the second night I put out the door sign which said "Maid Service, Please clean this room as soon as possible". When I returned in the late afternoon, the room had not been cleaned, the bed was unmade and the used towels were still in the bathroom. I reported this to the person at the front desk. She gave me clean towels and said that the card for the maid which was in my room was outdated, though it was the only one available to me. Other than that I was well satisfied with the room and the other services."

"Parking was easy and secure. We had a lovely welcome from the member of staff at reception then spoke to Caitlin and Oliver before entering our room. So friendly, an asset to the inn. Breakfast wasn't provided but we had a lovely breakfast at Waves. A small café 10mins away. Lots of places to eat and drink within 5 to 10 minutes."
