“We had a wonderful stay at Odyssey Villa in Escaleras. The drive is an adventure, but once you arrive, the house and views are absolutely stunning—photos truly don’t do it justice. We previously lived in Hawaii with an ocean view and agree with other reviews that this view is somehow even more impressive, overlooking a lush green valley and Diamante Waterfall.The setting is calm and peaceful, with magical sunrises and sunsets. “The host and concierge were welcoming and provided information prior to the trip. The concierge also answered a few questions for me during the trip in a very responsive manner. The house provided a large space for 8 guests. Very pretty area. Loved the decks and pool. Enjoyed the monkeys and birds from the decks. ”

“The place is exactly as it was posted. A very nice unit clean and comfortable. Several staying there are long term residents and all were very friendly and interesting. A wonderful group of guests. We stayed for 5 weeks and I would go back in an instant. The owner quickly replied to any questions or concerns and has the property maintained constantly. The view from the patios is amazingly and the nightly sunsets are breathtaking. A 4X4 vehicle is a must to get to the villa but worth it. We met……

“I stayed here for two weeks with my wife and 5 year old. We really loved everything about the property. It was a bit off the beaten path, which means it was quiet and relaxing. We had a rental car, so getting around was easy. The property is in the mountains, but still only 15 minutes from Dominical and 30 minutes to Uvita. The location was perfect for exploring nearby waterfalls and beaches. On our lazy days in, my daughter absolutely loved the pool, which we had to ourselves every time we used……

“What a beautiful place! The views are incredible, the house is so lovely, with four beautiful bedrooms, each with its own balcony, four and a half baths and gorgeous pool and grounds. Camilo, our concierge, was absolutely superior in every way, answering questions before our arrival, greeting us, arranging tours and transportation - anything and everything we asked for was answered and handled immediately. He also introduced us to private chefs, Alessandro and Diego. I cannot recommend them……
