“Cute little lodge . The front desk is open only 9 to 5. Provisions are made for coming and going after hours. Parking is directly behind the building. Free 8pm to 8am . 50 cents an hour otherwise. Easy to pay with app. Location is convenient for theaters and restaurants. You can walk everywhere. Hotels in this area are very high priced and this one is no exception, but a little less than the big chains. We therefore chose the least expensive room with a king bed as we were staying only 1 night……

“This property is beautiful. The bed was so incredibly comfortable and we loved our stay! The bathroom was huge and we loved that there were bunk beds for the kids. We wished we could have stayed more than 1 night here! The small kitchen was really nice as well.”

“Everything was lovely. Great owners. Be aware that Salem does not allow for inns to cook full breakfasts for guests. If you are allergic to or sensitive to cats, be aware that the owners have several cats.”

“The hotel was clearly very beautiful and held a lot of history. The room was a bit tight for our family of 5 - especially the tiny bathrooms, but the beds were incredible. I liked that parking was included and the hotel was in walking distance of a lot of things in Salem. We ate at one restaurant in the hotel for dinner and the other restaurant for breakfast. Both were fine but not great. The wait staff at breakfast accidentally spilled maple syrup on my son, the table, and the floor. They……

“We had such a charming stay at this hotel in Salem! The property has a wonderful historical feel, complete with a beautiful antique bed and canopy that really added to the historic character of the space. At the same time, the bathroom was fully modern and nicely updated, giving us the perfect blend of old-world charm and contemporary comfort. The location couldn’t have been better. Everything we wanted to explore in downtown Salem was within easy walking distance, which made our trip so……

“I’m guessing the A/C was not working. So to fix the issue, a portable floor A/C was wheeled in which ran all night long with a tremendous noise. Definitely not a good sleep. Now check out is at 11am. We’re five people deep to checkout because the hotel is allowing guests to check their luggage in before they can get into hotel at 4pm. Not well planned from our perspective. Hotel has been great in previous stays. Maybe this was an anomaly”

“The whole floor was clean and organized. The whole floor also felt inviting and comforting. We enjoyed how close we where to everthing. We were both so happy with found this apartment. ”

“My son and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Harbor Light Inn and would happily return. From check-in to check-out, the staff was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The inn was spotless, fresh-smelling, and inviting throughout our visit. Our room on the top floor was bright, airy, and comfortable. We appreciated the thoughtful touches, including the daily-refilled water container, suitcase benches, and quality bathroom amenities. The continental breakfast was delicious and offered……

“Everything was perfect”

“The room was great- exactly as described. The gentleman owner was kind - lived on the premises and spent a lot of our stay mowing the lawn and working in the gardens. Would be a bit uncomfortable for femme people traveling alone, but a good set up for people looking for conversation or company. ”

“.It is a beautiful property and the staff was helpful. We enjoyed the music trivia night at the hotel. the room was spacious and well appointed. The only drawback is noisy traffic close by.”

“Property itself was lovely and location was great. Staff very nice. We had cold showers both days and there’s no breakfast. They give you a breakfast voucher but you have to drive to the restaurant and then only get $7 off. There’s a keurig in the lobby, but no fresh coffee until 10:00 am. Staff is only on-site from 10-6.”
