A Wonderful Spot
Nice spot in historic Irvington neighborhood with bus stop, coffee shops, restaurants, and brew pubs all within walking distance. Mark was incredibly responsive to all my questions. Apartment was clean and comfortable with more than enough natural light. Washer/dryer was nice to have, too. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay- the location was convenient and the neighborhood was very nice and had several restaurants and businesses within walking distance. The check-in was straightforward and easy as well. Our only complaint was that the unit was not thoroughly cleaned prior to our arrival- when we got to the unit we discovered trash under the bed, leftover food left in the freezer from a previous stay, and trash that had not made it in the bathroom trashcan as well- not a dealbreaker, but it did make us worry about what other corners were cut in the cleaning process! If the owner is using a professional service, they might want to think about using a different one!

An excellent stay in Portland
My sister and I have nothing but great things to stay about this place. The space was perfect for the two of us and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, the appliances worked well, the location was great (so close to cute coffee shops, cafes and grocery stores) and the hosts were so helpful, kind and really helped make our stay a great one. They were quick to respond to any of our questions and so accommodating. If I'm ever in Portland again, I would absolutely stay here again.

Great, affordable space in a good location close to Moda Center
The property was mostly as described with the exception of walking distance to the Rose Quarter. We had come into town to watch the Trailblazers and picked the property since it was advertised an 8 minute walk. However, the actual walking distance was closer to 30 minutes. It's all good, exercise is welcomed, but this was a big part our decision to book. The property itself was in good condition and mostly clean, however there were some crumbs on the sofa where one of us slept and they were not made by us. Overall this is a good property to stay in if you want to be in the area and close enough to Moda Center to where you don't have to Uber.

Beautiful neighborhood
This was our 1st time in portland and I wanted to experience and getva good feel for portland. Staying at the gsrdenview apt was the perfect experince. Lots of places within walking distance and the neighborhood was perfect and beautiful.

Cozy lower unit in great NE Portland neighborhood
We really enjoyed our six night stay at this charming lower unit. The NE neighborhood was charming and quiet at night. The lower unit had lots of light. You could open the windows and get lots of fresh air and sunlight. They had a nice backyard with a BBQ and outdoor table. The bed was comfy. Overall a good find.

Great Location!
This is a perfect little apartment for a single person or a couple. It’s updated, quiet, great location to downtown Portland. Great walkable neighborhood with restaurants, coffee shop, Whole Foods and a Safeway near by. The beach, Mount Hood and Mount St Helen’s are all 1-1 1/2 hours away. We would definitely stay there again.

Cozy, Friendly and Clean
Cute, quiet and cozy little basement rental on a beautiful property, in a wonderful clean and safe neighborhood. Coffee shop .1 miles away, with lots more places just down the road. The caretaker upstairs was super friendly and helpful learning more about the City of Portland. Would definitely stay again.

Second time is as good as the first!
This is our second time staying at Irvington House and it couldn't be much better! We have family in Portland and Washington and the backyard was perfect for our gatherings. My husband and I feel very at home in the apartment and, with all the amenities as well as access to laundry, couldn't want for anything. The location is FANTASTIC - beautiful neighborhood, easy access to shopping and dining. When we return to Portland, we will come home to Irvington House.

The most relaxing location.
It was a very lovely location. The gardens were so beautiful and tended with care. It was very quiet and I was greeted by the neighbors cat which made my visit very special. The coffee was there for me, if I so wished. This is a very special place and I hope to visit again. Mark was available if I had any questions and very kind. Thank you for sharing your property with me. It is so much nicer than staying at a Hotel.

Great little hideaway
We loved how quiet it was at night and cozy. Loved being greeted each morning by the blooming flowers just outside the kitchen and livingroom windows. The place was clean and inviting, also the linens smelled clean but not bathed in scent thankfully. The knives were actually sharp, which you don't always find. We didn't get to spend much time in the back yard, but when the weather is more amiable for a cookout, it's set up lovely to do just that and chill. Beautiful neighborhood and great coffee place just a quick walk to the end of the block. Last, but not least, Mark was quick to respond to any questions and generous with his time. Thank you for a great stay. We will be back!

Delightful place!
This trip was about rediscovering the city after being away for many years. Portland is still a fun place with great walking, great transit, lots to see, and superlative food. Our apartment was very convenient to the many restaurants in the neighborhood and had easy access to downtown. It was just as described and more. The kitchen is well-stocked and fully functional. And the bed was very comfy. Highly recommend.

Nice Place in a Beautiful Neighborhood
I booked this place 2 years in a row now to attend a week long belly dance intensive and needed a place within walking distance of the studio hosting the intensive. The basement unit was easy to get into and had everything you need for multiple people. The neighborhood itself is very nice and safe. You can easily walk at night with no issue. It's also within walking distance of a Safeway if you need groceries in addition to a few good dining options. I especially loved that a new coffee shop opened literally 500 feet from the property.

Very easy and relaxig
Renting online was a snap. So easy I wondered if it was real at first. Owners sent perfect directions to get there then how to check in. Instructions on all amenities were provided and checkout directions were provided. Didn't have to come into contact with anyone, just enter the key code provided on the door and go right in. Four nights of relaxing rehabilitating time and then checkout. SO EASY. :)

Good base for exploring the area
We enjoyed a few nights here whilst we visited the Columbian River Gorge and Mount Hood. The property is darker than we had expected but is otherwise comfortable and well equipped. Can only suggest that a larger chopping board would be a useful addition. Plenty of cooking utensils. We appreciated the bottle of Oregon wine and coffee beans which had been left for us.

Great location, lacking nothing
We especially liked having coffee fixings and everything you could think of was there. The location is in a great walkable neighborhood, quiet in the nearby streets but walkable to good restaurants. The unit was cool and comfortable even during a light heat wave. Parking was never a problem. Overall, wonderful.

Reasonable apartment in fantastic location
Basement apartment in older style property. We found it a little dark. Well equipped, although no dishwasher and limited workspace if you want to cook. Note the garden is shared and some of the furnishings have changed since the pics in the listing were posted. We most enjoyed the location of the property as Irvington is a vibrant, leafy neighbourhood with easy access to Portland (bus stop almost outside) and lots of other great places to visit.

Yes all of the changes in the backyard and unit are upgrades. We have new furniture that is much nicer than is shown in the photos. Our backyard furniture is spectacular. Also, we make it very clear in the description that this unit is one of three in the house, so it's completely obvious that the garden would be shared with the rest of the house.

Great little place in wonderful neighborhood!
My husband and I recently stayed In Portland for three nights. We really loved the cute little lower apartment in this beautiful home . The Irvington neighborhood was beautiful and we loved being close enough to walk to stores and restaurants. The owner was very prompt in responding to my emails and the apartment was lovely .
