Hi Donna,It looks like this was your first time back since 2019 and some things have changed since then. We have housekeeping come to the rooms every other day starting after the 2nd night, and yes, the waffle maker ended up being a casualty during the pandemic. However, we have always had the in-wall air conditioners which have seemed to work well for our guests over the years. Nevertheless, I apologize that your experience wasn't up to the standards you had expected.I appreciate that you called the front desk to ask for the towels - We're always here to help and are just a phone call away. If you do look for other accommodations when you travel, please keep in mind that many businesses, especially in the hospitality industry have taken a large financial hit over the last several years with revenue still not up to where it used to be and operating costs now being significantly higher. We are all trying to do everything possible for our guests while needing to run as efficiently as possible. This means often times prioritizing getting rooms cleaned after checkout for incoming arrivals, especially on busy arrival days like Fridays and Saturdays. The housekeepers are here from 10am - 5pm usually, and rooms might be serviced at any time in that window. If you find yourself needing the room serviced before a certain time, letting the front desk know that is always a good idea so we can have your room taken care of before you come back to it.

We're so sorry that you left our hotel feeling this way! We certainly do everything in our power to make all of our guests as comfortable as possible, so hearing that you left feeling that you were treated poorly definitely means we needed to take better care with how we communicated with you.To respond to what you went through though - The heater in your room does still work. It was still working from the moment you checked out of the room and we went in to inspect it. We noticed you had the unit turned fully off. Just some insight, when it is on the Heat setting, once the room has reached the set temperature, the unit will then deactivate the heat and blow regular air through the unit for a minute or so to cool down the heating elements. This must have been what you were experiencing when you told the staff that it wasn't blowing hot air. But I can assure that the heater is still functioning properly to this day. We did offer to move you to a different room, but you declined to move. So, we were able to track down a plug-in heater to try to offer you some more comfort.I'm not really sure what else we could have done in the situation given that you didn't want to move rooms and we provided an additional heat source.

Hi Mia,We certainly appreciate you sharing your concerns. Although, I'm not sure why you wouldn't have mentioned anything during the 3 nights that you stayed with us and instead waited until 3 days after you left to mention anything to us.We absolutely take these types of things seriously though and need to make sure if there is any sign of bed bugs that we take immediate action. We were able to have a thorough inspection done in the room and I can confirm that there was absolutely no sign of bed bugs whatsoever. the entire mattress was checked as well as the bed frame and the box spring. There was no sign of bugs (alive or dead), eggs, fecal tracks, or any other evidence that bed bugs leave behind.I hope you enjoyed your time in Portland and trust that you had a safe trip back home.
