"Vi var tre familier (otte voksne og fire børn) af sted sammen og havde en skøn uge i Villa Bacci, som er et vidunderligt hus med en spændende historie og en udsøgt beliggenhed. Elba er virkelig varm i juli, men oppe i højderne tager en let brise toppen af heden. Når man er færdig med at dåne over den fantastiske udsigt, brug da et par minutter på at betragte billederne, der hænger rundt om i huset, der i øvrigt er meget rummeligt med fine faciliteter og behagelig aircondition. Køkkenet er ikke så stort og lægger ikke op til kulinariske udskejelser, men med øens fantastiske råvarer kan man altid smække en caprese-salat sammen og smide nogle salsiccia-pølser på den store gasgrill, og ellers kan man altid hente en stak pizzaer nede i Porte Azzurro - vi prøvede forskellige steder og havde kun gode oplevelser. Der er mange gode strande i nærheden (kør efter fx Spiaggia Morcone for en god, bred og gratis strand med rent, kølende vand), og orker man ikke at køre, er poolen virkelig skøn og ligesom villaen med en fantastisk udsigt. Området omkring villaen byder på forskellige løbe-/vandreture; for folk med god fysik og uden højdeskræk kan turen op ad bjerget til Santuario della Madonna di Monserrato anbefales. Turen til og fra huset er stejl og med skarpe sving, men vejen er god og med kun lidt trafik, og de fleste italienere er hensynsfulde bilister. Ejeren er hjælpsom og svarer altid hurtigt, og er der problemer, rykker opsynsmanden Giovanni hurtigt ud."

"Stunning views of the beach, the ocean, and the surrounding hills. The restaurant was very good, the pool was lovely, and the staff were helpful. The room had a beautiful terrace with a fabulous view. However, the room itself was small but comfortable. The bathroom was tiny and crowded, with a very small shower stall. Everything is on a slope so if you have mobility issues it’s not easy. They do offer a free shuttle down to the beach. The room was very basic for the price. The location, though, was excellent, offering magnificent views of this beautiful island."

"Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm and welcoming. The setting is peaceful and picturesque, the hotel itself is spotless and beautifully maintained, and the staff are simply lovely. The reception team greeted us with genuine warmth and helpfulness, and the breakfast staff were a joy — always smiling, accommodating, and full of positive energy. The location is serene, with stunning tennis courts and what might be the most incredible pool we’ve ever swum in — large, crystal clear, and perfectly warm. Everything we needed was right on hand: a great bar, a delicious restaurant, and plenty of space to relax. Highlights included the freshly made pasta, pizza, salads, and desserts — all absolutely delicious. And the breakfast was outstanding, especially the homemade banana bread! If we could offer one small piece of advice, it would be to share more photographs on social media to showcase just how special this place is — the marvellous staff, the food, the facilities, and the tranquil setting. That said, part of us wants to keep this gem a secret! Highly recommended — we can’t wait to return."
