Porto & Douro river, Amazing view and location

The apartment is on the main street Douro River, first line, where all the Port wine cellars are located, where you can visit and taste the wine. It has a perfect, central location to explore the best of Porto. The boat trips and the cable car are in front of the door. Going up the cable car you will have access to the upper deck of bridge D. Luís and the most wonderful view of Porto. The apartment has a balcony and windows on the first line of Cais de Gaia overlooking the Ponte D. Luís, and 10 minutes from the historic center of Porto and Ribeira (just cross the bridge). Restaurants, bars, boats, crafts, cellars, and market all in front of the door.
The apartment is modern, recently fully renovated, spacious with three bedrooms plus a kitchen and living room. It is equipped with everything you need to make your stay in Porto fantastic. It has wi-fi and LCD TV with more than 100 channels (box / cable TV). It has parking in front of the apartment.

Gateway to Porto

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the Vila Nova de Gaia apartment and meeting our amazing host Nuno. The apartment was perfectly located for our Port House adventures and was a short walk to morning coffee(just downstairs) and meals from breakfast to dinner. If you are looking for a perfect spot to have as your base for a self guided walking tour of Porto then this apartment is for you. The north side of the Douro is a 15 minute walk away with more restaurants, historic sites and shops than we could ever hope to see in our 5 day stay. We found the beds to be comfortable, the kitchen to be well equipped for breakfasts and light meals and the small balcony perfect for a tapas and bottle of Port while watching the bustle of the market and river below our 2nd story view. There was certainly some noise typical of being located in a busy city centre so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeeper-we found it to be part of the character of the location and apartment. Our host Nuno was simply amazing for our stay. He was available via text with prompt responses and great suggestions for everything from transportation to shops to see and restaurants to visit. It was our pleasure to meet you Nuno and we will definitely stay at Vila Nova de Gaia when we return to Porto.

Great location nice area

Beautiful location, nice balcony, close to restaurants nice restaurant downstairs. No Ac and it was noisy at night so could not open windows but there was a fan.

Great view!

The view was great, as was the location, it was very enjoyable walking across the bridge to visit some of the main sights. Lots of restaurants nearby and also port tasting. It is located in a pedestrian zone during certain times of the day, so we were not able to drive up to the front door and needed to carry our luggage some distance, not a big deal if you are reasonably fit. It was very noisy in the middle of the night after the restaurants close as the recycling bins were right opposite, gets better afterwards (once they have finished), but beware if you sleep early. There were only a limited number of small grocery stores nearby so if you plan to cook it is better to drive to a supermarket (or walk for 25 minutes like we did)

Sweet spot to hang in Porto

This apartment is in a great location. Easy to get to after a day of drinking Porto, if you know what I mean. We had a front row seat to a cute little parade under our balcony which was very festive and lively one of the evenings. So, if you coming to Porto, this is the spot.

Wonderful location

We had a superb time in this apartment. It was in an excellent location with lots of different transport choices. The restaurants and bars are well located close to the property. Good views over the Douro river to Porto with lots to do and see. Nuno and Suzane were excellent hosts and explained all about the apartment and surrounding areas. Lots of special touches were appreciated. This apartment is on the 2nd floor so be aware plenty of stairs. Will hope to return in the future.

Bel appartement très bien situé et conforme au descriptif

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour (6 jours) à Porto. L'appartement de Nuno est bien aménagé (nous étions 5) et idéalement situé pour visiter Porto, les alentours et profiter des quais du Douro. Nous avons pu facilement garer notre voiture à proximité, dans un parking payant mais pas trop cher (10 euros la nuit). Merci à Nuno pour sa réactivité aux messages. Lénaïck
