We are a family of four , so paid for a family room. They practically refused earlier check in. The sofa bed for 2 was very uncomfortable. Mattress kept on slipping off at the edge . Three times we got hurt while walking around it due part of base hanging out . Cleaner didn’t understand English and unable to provide us with an electric iron. Only coffee provided in room and no tea . Made a big mistake and paid for the breakfast, limited variety. On day one , only orange juice provided with a highly acidic taste . Waitress spent her whole time chatting at the front desk instead of looking after guests in the dining room. She also did not welcome us and made us feel very uncomfortable.She made us feel that we shouldn’t be there .At the front desk, on day one early evening about 6:30 pm asked the front desk staff, where to visit and he advised not to visit the Ribeira as it would be full of tourists ?? Although I knew ,it was the best area to visit. Again he was at times abrupt. This is certainly not a four star hotel.
