“The Dillard House holds sweet memories for us. With the massive beautification and updates, it is even more inviting. The prices, of course, have jumped tremendously, so a short stay is more efficient, but the Dillard House has a certain air of love.
The breakfast too was amazing, but how many people eat $27 for breakfast? Again sitting in the dining room a peace and comfort of a cozy era comes to mind.”

“This hotel was totally unexpected. The personal touches that they add are enchanting! Each room is unique and the thought behind them is incredible. They offer a coffee bar during the day and a wine bar in the evening. We were even able to have a free movie outside with popcorn! This is an amazing place! The lobby is like a public living room and there are seating areas with firepits in multiple locations. It is totally walkable to downtown Highlands . . which is so charming! Stay here!”

“The main inn is charming. The bunkhouse is a different story, and the gap between the two is wide enough that I felt misled by the photos used to sell the property.
The room is tiny. Just know a king bed takes up almost all of the floor space, and the only other furniture are small nightstands, a luggage rack, a folding chair, and a closet with a curtain instead of a door. There is no room to unpack or move around comfortably. The dark green paint and trim look moody in photos, but in person……

“The room was clean, but dated. The plug at the bathroom sink did not work, and there is no in room coffee maker. ( I travel with one, so no real problem there.) Compl breakfast consisted of only cereal and coffee, from what I could see.
Excellent for the price paid and the reason for my 2 day stay.”
