"Our family really enjoyed our stay at The Old House! The space was clean, comfortable & accommodating. We loved the outdoor yard surrounding the house where the kids ran free & we especially enjoyed the outdoor fire pit patio. Shannon, the host, went above & beyond to make the place homey & personalized for us as her guests. We had everything we needed & then some. I could not recommend this choice more. "

"Beautiful, quiet, peaceful. Close enough to Alpena that you can experience some of what a city has to offer, far enough away that you have peace and quiet. The kayaks got put to use on the river and everything that we could need had been thought of. Plenty of dishes to use. Plenty of chairs to sit by the fire. Plenty of firewood to burn. Check-in was stress-free. We met the host for a quick tour and they were available via text if we had any need. Cell reception in the area was spotty, but that's not always a bad thing. A great opportunity to leave work at work!"

"My family, along with our golden retrievers enjoyed our stay at the Sunken Lake cottage. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and you can see the lake from the kitchen, living room and one of the bedrooms. It is immaculately clean and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The Internet works great. We had a colleague who had to take a few meetings and she had no issues. There is a beautiful outdoor patio, barbecue grill, a nice fire pit stocked with wood, a paddle boat, canoe and plenty of kayaks to use. The owner and property manager promptly answered any questions we had.It was peaceful and very relaxing and we enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon. "
