“I do not recommend this hotel for long term stay. Also I was told that you have to ask housekeeping to come in and your room to do their job ?!?! I was gone 9 hours one day and come back to room not be touched. They had not come in to even empty trash or collect the dirty towels which I had in one pile in the bathroom. I went to the front lobby desk and this is what an employee told me. I was not told this information at check in. Most the employees were not great. The only good employee……

“The room was clean. The beds were very uncomfortable. The room smelled horrible like cigarette smoke and the room and bathroom were small. No outside furniture to sit on. The AC worked great and the fridge was good.”

“The management tried to steal payment from us. They tried to hold us hostage at the residence and when we wanted to cancel the rest of our stay because of their failed attempt to remedy our 8 room issues they tried to lie and say we stayed 4 nights when we only stayed 2 nights.”

“I come to Erie frequently and I stay at multiple hotels in the area of Spark. I have never stayed at Spark. The hotels I normally stay were sold out and so I chose Spark despite it was about $60-$70 more than the hotels I've stayed in that area so I had expectations that it would be on a higher level. Boy was I wrong! It is cheap and I would never stay there EVER again. The positive is the staff was friendly and the room was clean. There was a fridge, no microwave. No coffee maker, not a bucket……

“Bathroom was filled with mold. I had to go to the front desk and ask for it to be cleaned. When I returned it was still there so they gave me gloves and rags to clean it myself. The walls had what looked to be nicotine running down them and dirty handprints. The comforter had dried blood on it. Wall and ceiling had cracks everywhere. Housekeeping needs retrained or a new lineup. Mold is unacceptable. If every hotel wasn’t booked solid when I went I would have went elsewhere. I shouldn’t have to……
