The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The bedding and towels looked virtually brand new, soft, white, fabulous, spare pillows available for those who need them. Despite being next to a pub and on the main road to Blackpool, I couldn't hear a thing from outside the room, Bliss!
The staff (when I eventually found them - no-one on reception on any of the 3 days I was there), were lovely - very kind and courteous, going out of their way to help me park near the entrance (I have a Blue Badge and cannot walk far), and carrying my cases up the stairs. (No lift). Refreshments were topped up every day.
Two (very slight) negatives:
1. The furnishings looked very tired, edges of furniture chipped, carpet a bit grubby - time for a refurb perhaps?
2. The shower is over the bath; although it had a non-slip surface directly in front of the shower, it didn't extend far enough to stand on whilst exiting, so a bit nerve wracking! The shower itself was lovely and hot, and plenty of pressure.
If all you want, like me, is a clean, comfortable room to stay in overnight, then I would definitely recommend this hotel.
