“We really enjoyed staying here. The hide-away bed was comfortable. And I appreciated the brown binder with all the information & suggestion. The entire place was beautiful. I got some ideas for my house-like the heated seat bidet & the light. :-) As I mentioned I tried to get in on the 10th but waited too long to make the reservation and it was no longer available. So I changed our day of travel just to stay here and the place did not disappoint!”

“Property was a cozy apartment in the heart of Seward. Walking distance from the Sea Life Center and Restaurants. It was clean and well equipped. Nice Retro theme.”

“During our visit to Seward we enjoyed a relaxing stay at the Fisherman’s retreat. The location of the cabin is perfect, just outside of the city proper but close to anything you need. The morning views of the mountains are spectacular! Nola, the property manager, was super helpful and took excellent care of us during our stay whenever we had any questions. Highly recommend this accommodation if you are visiting Seward!!”

“Our host was able to get us in early which worked out very well for us. The host is very responsive and easy to communicate with. It was very clean and a great space. The couch with the foam topper was very comfortable. This space is right by downtown and not far from a free shuttle stop. Noise from the upstairs apartment was a little bothersome but not that bad.”

“A bit of time travel staying in this historic building, with the charm (some antique furniture) and also a few inconveniences (steam heat; no dishwasher) of an older property. Perfect location for enjoying all of Seward.”

“Lovely upstairs suite was warm and welcoming with fun and interesting period details mixed with modern conveniences and easy access to Seward shops and restaurants.”

“We loved the location and access to everything downtown. Seward is beautiful and has several wonderful restaurants. The weather was perfect but we did keep the windows open during our stay, but we weren’t able to keep the bathroom window open because of an overwhelming gas odor. We sent a message to our host about it during our stay, but never received a response. The building is very old and the stairs to the parking in the back are very old and narrow. It was difficult to bring out luggage……

“The Hayloft was in a great central location for our planned activities in Whittier and Seward. Communication with our host was also excellent! The directions provided were perfect, but I seemed to always miss the turn into the driveway. There is a 20-stair (approx.) steep climb to the front door. Once inside, there are also two separate deep steps, one leading down to the bedroom and other down into the living area. The stairs were not a problem for us, but could be for someone with mobility……

“Loved this unique property with lots of charm! Close to everything downtown--Sea Life Center is a definite must. A short (free) shuttle ride to the harbor too if you're doing a whale watching tour. Host was responsive and place was very clean--great beds! There are stairs here, fyi.”

“Hotel is a vintage building. Room was small but very clean. Bathroom was vintage but water pressure and temp were fine. It took awhile to get into the building and reach our room because we couldn’t get someone to answer the phone and give us the entry code to the building and our room. Picture on website was not an accurate representation of our room. Would not recommend if you have difficulty climbing steps. ”

“Worth it! Brilliant location. Feels like being directly out in nature, but all the amenities of home. Timeless memories of sitting on the front deck of our own log cabin in the woods taking in the sights, sounds and scents of the kenai bush. And chris’ pancakes and coffee at morning totally rocked (bonus perk). 太值得尝试的小木屋！简直是大自然的礼物，置身在设施齐全的小木屋会感觉和大自然融为一体。在露台上边呼吸充足的氧气和美味的热咖啡是无与伦比的享受。老板非常热情善良，也很健谈，温暖的早餐会唤醒你的身体。感谢这段经历！”
