“Things that were disappointing and Americans may appreciate knowing before booking: - directions wrong on VRBO app-Bars, padlocks on doors and windows (made sense later but wish we knew before or at arrival because it felt scary the first night)-holes in screens letting bugs and ants in and sliding door had to close because hole was big enough for small animals at night- 100’s of tiny bugs inside, bought spray and killed- no water pressure in shower, took a long time to heat up-loud water pump……

“We had a multi-generational family group of eight people. The separate bedrooms withe their own bathrooms were excellent, the kitchen was well stocked for cooking, the dining area was perfect for our large group. But the biggest attraction was the pool. It was the carrot for the grandkids after along day out exploring to be able to jump in the pool and play while we all prepared dinner. The location of this house is perfect for taking advantage of all that the Merida has to offer. It wasn't……

“All was wonderful. A lovely spacious house, a pool to cool off in, the neighborhood close to many historical sites & delicious restaurants. The hostess was quick to answer any questions.I highly recommend staying.”

“It's a wonderful place to have as a base while you are visiting Merida, and then go back and relax on their beautiful outdoor patio. They were excellent at making sure we had a comfortable stay. We would definitely go back. The only note is that the mattresses are way too firm for our taste. ”

“The house and artwork were beautiful.The bedrooms were very spacious and comfortable. We were two families and the kids really enjoyed the pool. The pool no longer has a fence around it and many of the rooms have been upgraded since the photos in this listing. There are no longer bunkbeds which was a disappointment for the kids. If you want to go on beach walks or runs, beware of stray dogs. We hired cooks which was amazing, but the cookware in the house was in really bad shape and had Teflon……

“Great location easy walking to Paseo De Montejo as well as shopping and restaurants. Quiet and restful. It appeared to be either new to VRBO or newly remodeled and looked like they had a designer help with the finishes. Bathrooms were very well-done bedrooms were good size but lacked night tables and a bench to put your suitcase on. While there were several bottles of drinking water there wasn't a large water dispenser or ice making facility in freezer. Limited cooking but lots of nearby……
