This hotel is all about location. You are about 15 minutes from Crater Lake. I was unaware of the shared bathroom. Also, in the area of Union Grove there is basically no wifi. Even though lodge said they have it on website, when we arrived they said it was hard ti get. Not a big deal for many, just something to be mindful of.

In the lodge, we had a small bedroom with a sink, and two shared bathrooms with toilet and shower. Quiet and clean but not handicapped accessible because you have to take stairs to the second floor. We went in early May before the start of the season, so Beckie’s Cafe wasn’t open. Decent options of restaurants in Prospect. Must see: Rouge River Gorge. The trail is easy and has 4 viewing points to enjoy the beautiful river.

The cabin was cozy but wasn't cleaned properly after the previous person moved out. Found one sock in one of the beds and one other personal item. Only limited interaction with staff. Parking is no problem. About 30 min drive to Crater Lake. Somewhat pricy. Restaurant is closed Monday thru Wednesday, just FYI.

I reserved a cabin, but was told I rented the upstairs lodge. Thinking I was in error, I said OK. Very steep flight of stairs and finding out it was a shared bathroom, I went back down and said this is not what I would have rented. I cant handle this steep stairs. I need a private bathroom.They said Expedia is not listing them correctly. They did give me my cabin. Luckily it wasn't a busy night. I feel they need to chat with Expedia to get this resolved. Rest of stay very nice. Room did have a peculiar odor. I sprayed air freshener and it helped.

When we arrived before the 7:00pm allowed arrival time -6:45 pm (there was no cell reception in the area) we were told that Expedia had cancelled our reservation due to over booking. I have never had that happen before. It seemed odd and definitely concerning. We were told that a more expensive room was available, for which receptionist gave us a discount for our inconvenience, $210 instead of $280. While this was appreciated it was still $25 over our originally agreed upon price with Expedia. The room we reserved was a two bed cabin and the room we had to book only had one bed. Not what we reserved. My question is..did Expedia cancel my original booking because I never got notice of such a change.
