“The villa was beautiful and exactly as the images. The aircon was brilliant and we have plenty of space as a family of 4. We spent most of our time around the pool or cooking on the BBQ. Matera was lovely to visit and only around 15 minutes by car. Most of the restaurants didn't open until around 7:30 or 8pm which was a shock for us when we got there at 5:30 with young children looking for somewhere to eat. “We really enjoyed our stay and couldn't fault it. The property was well equipped with everything we needed and spotlessly clean. Angela was very friendly and provided us with good suggestions of where to visit and where to eat. We travelled to many of the villages and towns she recommended and loved Basilicata. Once she discovered we were wine producers from California on a research trip of Nebbiolo, Sangiovese and Aglianico in the Basilicata wine region, she arranged the meeting of local Cantina owners to view their vineyards and very historic cantinas.
