“We just wrapped up our wonderful 11-night stay at Eremo della Giubiliana near Ragusa, and it was absolutely perfect from start to finish. We stayed in one of the cottages, which don’t receive nearly enough attention or photos in most reviews. They were spacious, beautifully appointed, and provided the ideal private retreat for our family with a toddler. Breakfast is highly underrated—guests constantly rave about it. L'accueil a été effroyable, la personne à l'accueil voulait nous jeter dehors au prétexte qu'elle n'avait pas de chambre, alors que nous avions réservé via hotel.com. J'ai insisté malgré les cris de la personne et bien m'en a pris, elle a finalement trouvé la réservation et m'a dit qu'elle n'avait pas compris. “In the old town, easy to walk to attractions. Rental car’s navigation took us to a very narrow street, we should have followed the instructions from the hotel email. Hotel manager came out, sat in our car and directed us to the right place to park. ”

“We stayed at several hotels throughout Sicily—including Palermo, Taormina, and Siracusa—and this was by far the weakest experience of our trip. The biggest issue was the air conditioning. Our first room would not cool properly, so we were moved to a second, which was only slightly better. We were later offered a third room and even another hotel, and were told it would cool down outside at night. While I appreciate the staff’s efforts to help, guests should not have to switch rooms multiple……
