Love this place

Definitely one of the best locations to stay in the area of Puerto Viejo...I love the gardens and the breakfast that is brought to your room and how close it is to the beach.

Beach front. This hotel is a paradise! Rooms Kitchen and living room. Staff was súper nice! They have 2 stations with cold filtered water. You can walk 8Km through the beach to the right and 3km to the left. 2 restaurants in the complex.

The grounds were beautiful. Can see ocean from room. It’s an older property but well kept. The staff were amazing. Naomi was always accommodating, went out of her way to call on excursions, check on restaurants, filling cooler with ice and always with a smile. She made are stay there even more amazing. Jenifer also was always willing to accommodate. The breakfast delivered to room each morning was fabulous. We definitely will be back again.

A great place to get away. Comfortable, right on the beach, great pool and two restaurants onsite, others walkable just down the road. We could not ask for much more! Authenticate, quiet, comfortable and one of the best in the area.

Super helpful staff. We were glad to have the use of the beach towels and be able to rent snorkels. The water is visible from the Villas and there are rocky pools that were good for snorkeling. The sandy beaches are walkable.

Great location with beach and wild life. Also,2 restaurants adjacent to the property that are excellent. Pool is very nice. Staff very responsive. Rooms clean. If someone likes the Hyatt experience, this is not for you. Very rustic, but fitting for Costa Rica. Enjoyed the nature aspect. And away from all the tourists in the Veijo

Amazing wildlife at this property

My only regret is I booked this hotel at the end of our trip and we only were able to stay one night. The hotel could use a little updating but honestly, when in Costa Rica we aren't there for the hotels. We saw so much wildlife at the property

This is a beautiful property! We enjoyed the facilities (pool & jacuzzi) and the room was nice and big. We felt so lucky to see a toucan eating fruits in a nearby tree! It was so beautiful! The service was excellent and they offered the BEST included breakfast I have ever had - anywhere! Highly recommended location!

Beautiful property with the ocean just a few yards away. The grounds were filled with amazing plants and animals--howler monkeys, tucans, dart frogs, agouties--and while the ocean could be a bit rough, the tide pools were sandy bottomed and deep enough to swim in without being hit by waves. Fabulous all around!

We loved our stay here! Nice room with a beachy vibe. The grounds are incredible! I woke up early every morning and went out to watch the great green macaws fly in and out of the trees to eat and walk along the sandy path in front of the hotel. The beach is steps away from the hotel, and I loved swinging on the many swings they have watching the sunrise and wildlife. There’s a great restaurant next door, The Spicy Coconut, which was super convenient since we didn’t have a car. Loved it here and would most definitely stay again!

Beachfront was very nice and picturesque. We saw so many animals just in front of our room. We were lucky to get room 26 as the rest of the rooms overlooked a dilapidated roof. Bathrooms were tiny and shower pressure was really low. Lots of traffic noise as rooms are literally beside the main highway. Breakfast was amazing and service was great. Quality and size of beach towels could be improved. Overall, excellent for your money.

Incomplete room description

It is a quiet place and ideal for families and to enjoy with children and the elderly. Unfortunately, when booking the room, the description indicated that it had a kitchenette, which I interpreted to mean that you could cook, but unfortunately that was not the case... Unfortunately, I bought food to cook and everything was damaged because I could not cook, since there is only a microwave oven, mini refrigerator, toaster and coffee maker. I asked if they could charge me something extra to have a portable stove and utensils and the answer was: NO. We all know that breakfast is already charged, IT IS NOT A COURTESY: Villas del Caribe should give more options.

El hotel es viejo. El precio esta sobrevalorado con relacion a la calidad de las instalaciones que son muy básicas. Falta mucha inversion definitivamente La propiedad esta frente al mar y bien ubicada cortinas que se mete la luz, muebles muy rusticos y aires acondicionados pequeños y viejos que no logran una temperatura agradable, especialmente durante el dia Personal poco amable en la recepcion ------------------------------------ The hotel is old. The price is overrated in relation to the quality of the facilities, which are very basic. There is definitely a lot of investment missing The property is facing the sea and well located curtains that let in the light, very rustic furniture and small and old air conditioners that do not achieve a comfortable temperature, especially during the day Unfriendly staff at the reception

Cada año visito al menos una vez, casi siempre dos Puerto Viejo. Siempre nos hospedamos en Villas del Caribe, el lugar está rodeado de naturaleza y con un acceso directo a la playa, lo cual lo hace simplemente ideal.
