I honestly do not have ANY complaints about this resort. The Staff were super nice and always greeting you asking if you need anything. I can’t think of anything negative. Buffet food and drinks were good. The coffee was amazing. I will definitely return.

room has bad conditions because water from shower was going to the living room each time we had a shower, TV didn't work more than 5 minutes. It was moistness in the room, because water staying in the room from shower. Water in toilet was slow, almost without pressure. We complained but they promised to fix it and never did anything.

Family oriented resort but offers adults only spaces. The beach was wonderful and the variety of restaurants and bars pretty impressive. The plumbing could use an upgrade; some of the public toilets did not flush and others ran constantly. Ample opportunity to browse stores and play games.

It was absolutely horrible. Not clean, food was subpar, there were cockroaches at the Spaniard restaurant just walking around. They cleaned the floors with dirty mop water, the smell everywhere was putrid. The only good place was the Carey bar.

For the most part, our stay was great staff for the most part was excellent. I did have one issue at La Brisa where I felt like I was ignored due to a specific reason which well I will not get into but other than that I had a great time. Our rooms were a little dusty food was good liquor, yeah

Mi estadía en el Hotel Barceló Bávaro Palace fue excelente. El entretenimiento, tanto en el teatro como en la piscina, la discoteca, el servicio y los restaurantes superaron mis expectativas; realmente ha sido de los mejores viajes que he hecho a República Dominicana en cuestión de comida y ambiente. Sin embargo, fue un poco desagradable toparnos con que varias actividades tenían costo adicional —como la sala de juegos, el minigolf y el parque acuático— cuando el hotel se promociona como all inclusive. Hubiese sido ideal que esa información estuviera clara desde el inicio para evitar sorpresas. Aun así, la habitación, la atención del personal y la calidad general del hotel fueron muy buenas. En resumen, una experiencia excelente con un detalle importante a mejorar.

This resort was the worse I’ve ever experienced! I have not ate all weekend my whole time here because the food was not pleasing at all I was spending 50 and 60 dollars at least twice a day going back and forth to a store they had on the resort running off snacks since I’ve been here the room was filthy wit a smell to it the shower and bathroom area was not clean with rust on a lot of areas inside of the bathroom area the walls were dirty and so was the headboard with stings on it I am highly upset about my experience and if I could get my money back I would I will not even return to this country bc my experience was just so bad even down to the transportation for my activities on top of no one speaking any English to even try to help us with anything

The breakfast was good, options for vegetarian. The only thing I would say is the elevator close to our room didn’t work which created a lot of walk, wifi doesn’t work in all the areas. Other than this it’s a great resort with lots of activities for kids and adults.

Based on my experience, there are a few areas that could be improved: Room Quality and Maintenance: The room we were assigned had significant water leakage issues (from the bathroom faucet and bathtub), and the phone was broken. The location of the room was also quite far from the main amenities, which was inconvenient for an upgraded room. Staff Response: While Fiordaliza at the restaurant reservations area was extremely helpful in moving us to a better room, the overall response to the water issues was slow. We spent a lot of time reporting the problem and waiting for assistance, which affected our overall experience. Amenities: The distance from key amenities and the unreliable train service to reach them made our stay less enjoyable, especially for an upgraded room. The broken phone in the room also made it difficult to communicate issues efficiently. Overall, I’d suggest quicker resolution of maintenance issues and more convenient room placements for upgraded guests.

My sink in the bathroom of my room leaked the entire time they tried to come fix it but it still leaked, students from convention center would come in dining halls make the lm overly noisey and crowded and dirty. Making it not so vacation like for those trying to enjoy a peaceful vacation

Beautiful, well kept property with beautiful shops and lots to do, including a casino, bowling alley, miniature golf, night club and a very nice sports bar. It is actually one of the biggest resorts that I have ever been in the Dominican Republic. However, there are a few things that they should improve, the most important being the customer service. I had a group of 17 adults and all of them said the same exact thing. Unfortunately the workers there do not share a smile, some of the ones by the bars are rude and lot of them are not helpful at all. My check in took almost 3 hours. I understand I got there at 1, however just to go from the line to the actual counter took 45 - 50 mins, something I have never experienced before. I didn’t get my room till a little after 4 pm. Another thing is at the buffet, we had to look for servers just to get some water. At breakfast I had to go asking someone to have some tea. I felt like I was bothering them so I kindly told them to guide me where I can get it myself which I didn’t mind. The only people that I did get the best service from is Milagros at the breakfast buffet and Braiken who was our server at the Mexican restaurant who was so kind, funny and gave us the best dinner experience on our last day. Other than that, they have multiple pools and the beach is very close. The rooms are clean and very spacious. For 3 of us we got a 2 story room with 2 bathrooms which was perfect. Would definitely recommend if the service improved.

Our room was clean. But the air conditioning was mediocre, 76F at best during night. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food waa great the first three days but then the quality dropped. The night show was great and our kids loved it. The pools were pristine and water quality was excellent, which is something in which the Barcelo Bavaro is better than more exclusive hotels. The hotel overall is very clean and has been improved in many areas. Although the family buffet area has a terrible vent system, you go in and come out smelling like you were in tbe kitchen all day. Conclusion, very good but it's ventilation and air conditioning has to catch up.

Honestly, I have no idea how anyone can say this place is clean or that the food is good. Yeah, the scenery outside is nice and the building looks fine from far away, but that’s literally where the good part ends. Everything else was just flat out terrible. First, the place was dirty. Like, not “a little messy”, straight-up dirty. We walked into the lobby and there was no air-conditioning at all, and the whole place had this gross, damp smell. Then we got to the room and it somehow got even worse. There were bugs on the floor and on the bed. The bedside lamps were covered in spiderwebs and dust. The sheets and pillows were old, stained, and clearly not washed properly. The whole room smelled like it had been abandoned for who knows how long. And the mini fridge completely broken, with an already opened soda inside that someone had clearly taken a couple sips from! I mean… seriously? Sleeping there was awful, the pillows and blankets had this funky, moldy smell that made it impossible to relax.Food was bad. The buffet is the only thing open during the day, and the other restaurants only open at night, and you literally have to track down a staff just to make a reservation, an outdated, inconvenient system.. The food tasted just plain terrible, and there were flies everywhere landing on the dishes. Every single place we tried was a letdown.

TV fan jacuzzi and phones didn’t work! Went to front desk and nothing was done. Floor hasn’t been cleaned in weeks. Dust and hair on the corners. Stay away from room 4305. Everything else is decent.
