It is an amazing property to have a relax and lovely stay at a beautiful beach. Fantastic amenities, incredible restaurants with a top quality dishes and a staff that will make you feel the most important person in the world. The entertainment crew was amazing everyday, with lots of recreation activities for all ages and at the end of each day a show to make you laugh and the a dancing experience until late night… this is just amazing

Rooms could use a paint retouch, more water pressure in the bathrooms, snacks on the beach and a.c. and a small bar in the lobby. Miguel at the Merenguero went above and beyond to help. Gardi was kind, friendly and had great customer service at the bar by the beach. Adonis, Rommy and their lady teammate who spoke in Italian were all super fun to do the dance lessons with. Adonis also went above and beyond to make our experience pleasant. I would definetely come back but would like to try the adults only hotel.

🚨 UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE & HEALTH HAZARD! Disastrous stay at Catalonia Bayahibe. We paid extra for the Privilege package, but it means absolutely nothing here. Official check-in is at 3:00 PM, but we were fed empty promises and finally got into a room that wasn't even fully ready almost at 4:00 PM. Then, the AC in our room completely died. We called the front desk 3 times, but there was zero reaction and we were left waiting for almost 2 hours. They only fixed it after I contacted my tour operator (Expedia) to intervene. To make things significantly worse, this morning I found a LIVE WORM (caterpillar) inside my salad at the Main Buffet during breakfast! I sent the photo proof to Guest Services on WhatsApp. They asked for details, and as soon as I provided them, they completely ghosted me and refused to offer a refund or any real solution. Instead of fixing their shocking food safety issues, the hotel management is now sending animators around the beach to beg other guests for fake 5-star reviews to cover up their mess! Zero responsibility and awful customer service. Avoid this place!
