The room was disgusting. We moved three times. The first room had old pee on it and smelt terrible. The second room had cockroaches and when we first walked in broken glass on the floor and the third room, we will move to had only one working outlet and have to go lights in the room we're not working. We called the hotel front desk four times and they said they would send someone however it was never fixed awesome the person that fills the drinks in the room walked in without knocking while I was undressed. The food was terrible not fresh and the meat had a very bad smell. The staff were mostly unfriendly, and the management was very unhelpful.

Outside property was beautiful & well maintained. The staff was friendly when they understood. A lot of them didn’t understand requests. The deserts were very good. The room was older, needed updates, several things did not work. It was freezing in the room when the air was on and the thermostat didn’t work to adjust the temp. Tried several times to contact service maint with no result or even acknowledgement. The food was not good in the specialty restaurants or buffet. Food at the buffet was cold, never hot. The entertainment was bad.

Cockroaches in the room , food not edible. Be prepared to go to the bathroom. Staff are rude, even when you tip them. Room was dirty lights and charging stations, Did not work.changed room three times. They did not care.

Jhandro was amazing at the front desk. The staff was friendly always and we had everything we needed quickly. We stayed on the top floor and tipped well to get a nice room with a view! We also were able to go to the next resort over Bambu which was awesome! The Krystal restaurant was amazing also! Thanks Riu palace we will see you again soon!

They do not greet you when you enter like at other all inclusive resorts. The rooms were 2 full beds pushed together to make a “king” and a pullout couch. The room had mold in the bathroom and smelled like mold. The TV was broken but maintenance was quick to respond to the request. The restaurant’s have mediocre food but the buffet had great food. The staff were friendly. The beach was very nice and there were many accommodations for kids. The drinks were good. Children’s entertainment was late often starting between 8-8:30. One main pool for families and one pool for kids with little slides. A very big property to explore and clean beaches. Likely will not book again given the other updated nicer resorts in the area.

Nice and clean. The Buffet was my favorite place to eat at. I love their app for the most part I love how you can ask for thing from the app but just be okay when it comes to breakfast order it the night before or the early in the morning or you might not get it till the next day and sometimes when you order stuff it may disappear but I can’t wait to stay here again

I had great experience.The staff was great, the variety of food was good and very tasty. Great service provided by the hotel staff.The property was clean and my room was cleaned daily. The beach and pool area was beautiful and clean .Things I was unhappy with was my tv never worked, there were electricity issues, out of the multiple sockets in the room I was only able to use one. Toilet pressure was very low and they may need to get an exterminator for their mild roach problem.

Had a wonderful time on the resort, travelling with kids. Staff was amazing. One suggestion would be more entertainment for kids in there teens, most of the shows events are geared towards small children. Would definitely suggest this resort and will come back.

Staff are helpful, clean resort, buffet food is okay, they do have some traditional food such as mangu con salami, sancocho and white rice. Resort a little out dated, I had To change my room due to mold smell, AC not working & the bed sheets had a mildew smell. Asked to change the sheets but still. Overall, average stay.

The property was absolutely gorgeous… The food was amazing. The staff was so attentive. The pool and close proximity to the beach was amazing and having so much space around you and just beautiful atmosphere was so superb for this all inclusive resort.

A Miami vice…. I recommend the mojitos and blue corals

We had a great time and were able to relax a lot, which is what we wanted. If you are traveling with teenagers, note that they are super strict on the age, and a 17 year old about to turn 18 will still get a kid bracelet! We were traveling with a group of 4, and the ones about to turn 18 were able to “buy” adult bracelets from the staff to eneter the disco and use the adult pool. My biggest disappointment was the food. While they brag about so many restaurants, only one of them is open for breakfast and only one (different one) is open for lunch, and the food quality is OK, not great, and after trying several specialty dinner restaurants we just went to the big restaurant where they had a little of everything. The other thing to point out is that I like firm mattresses but this one was extra firm!

I want to comment Juan Carlos at the buffet for going above and beyond for me and my family all 4 days of our stay. I truly didn’t want anyone else serving us but him. Such a phenomenal human being. When my wife was sick he attended to her by finding the tea and making it exactly how she wanted it. He set up a table for my brothers birthday simply cause he remembered. I truly don’t have enough words to thank him.

The staff was excellent! The food offered a wide variety which was helpful because several in our group have Celiacs. Rooms were spacious and clean. Only bad review would be the shower in our bathroom leaked a lot.

This is a very basic, standard Dominican resort. The food is adequate—nothing special, but you’ll find something to eat. The rooms are simple, clean, and include the essentials plus a minibar, but don’t expect anything luxurious. There is no bell service, so be prepared to carry your own luggage. The pools are nice and enjoyable. The beach is decent, but there are no umbrellas—only palm trees for shade. This may be fine for some, but not ideal for fair-skinned guests who need more consistent sun protection. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly place to relax, swim, and enjoy the weather, this resort does the job. However, if you expect upscale amenities or gourmet dining, this is not the right choice. Major concern – safety: One night, the fire alarm went off at 4:20 AM. There were no staff in the hallways directing guests, and many people stayed in their rooms unsure of what to do. When we reached the lobby, there was no one at the front desk. Eventually, a staff member arrived, gave an explanation in Spanish, and simply said “everything’s fine” when asked to explain in English. Thankfully, it was a false alarm, but in a real emergency, the lack of staff presence and communication could have led to a catastrophic outcome in a real fire. This is a serious issue that needs improvement. Overall, an okay stay, but the safety concern cannot be overlooked.

The rooms were clean, staff friendly. Good options of food at La Isabela. The drinks were strong!
