The Old Washhouse, a House with a Flower-Filled Courtyard in Val d'Orcia
- The ancient washhouse is a newly renovated loft that has retained its original structure, located on the first floor of what was once the old mill in Radicofani. Its strategic location allows you to park your car near the house and walk just 300 meters to the heart of town.
You’ll find a kitchen/living room, a sleeping area with a double bed or two single beds, plus a generously sized sofa bed that can accommodate up to three people. There’s an outdoor dining area and indoor bike storage.Transfers to and from Radicofani. Official Via Francigena stamp available on-site.
The house does not have air conditioning because it stays very cool even in summer, given our elevation of 800 meters; furthermore, landscape regulations prohibit any external motors.
We’re in a quiet area 300 meters from the town center

What a wonderful stay! This apartment was absolutely perfect for the two of us. It was impeccably clean, warm, cozy, and spacious enough for a couple. The bed and furniture was so comfortable, and the attention to detail was simply spot on. Everything was absolutely perfect!We were so touched by the thoughtful complimentary coffee, tea, and breakfast items. The bathroom was just as equipped with shampoo and soaps. Every little detail made us feel right at home.The gorgeous private garden was a real treat, and of course, the three beautiful, friendly dogs who came to visit stole a piece of our hearts! Our host Barbara was so warm, welcoming, and made us feel so comfortable from the moment we arrived. You can truly feel the love and care that goes into this special place.We will absolutely return and we highly recommend this beautiful apartment to anyone looking for a cozy, peaceful, and welcoming stay in Radicofani.
