"Our family of 6 (kids ages 3-18) had a wonderful stay at the Citadel. The owner, Grahame, answered all of our questions and was more than accommodating during our stay. The Citadel is tucked away down a short gravel road and the view can’t be beat. Watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee is a must. "What a hidden gem! We stayed in the beach cabin, which we found to be surprisingly roomy, rustic (in the very best sense), fully equipped, and spotless. Our hosts were quick to respond to any questions. Our favorite part, however, was the location: Rainy Lake on your doorstep, a great beach, and the enchanting Northern Bush all around. "This was located on a part of the lake we hadn’t fished yet so we were excited to check it out. The property was beautiful and exactly as advertised. It was clean and communication with the host was great. This is their family cabin so we appreciated them letting us use it. There is a bit of a hill to walk up in case you have anyone in your party with mobility restrictions, it might be tough. Overall great. Definitely watch for rocks on this part of the lake.
