「We left it late to book a hotel in Langkawi and we couldn't get in to any of usual hotels but managed to get a room at the Penarak Bamboo beach resort. When we went in the room it was spacious and very clean but when we opened the back door the view was spectacular. 「This is a basic motel with a clean room in a well-maintained community. You should hire a car or motorbike since waking from this location isn't convenient. Room entry doors really need weatherstripping and door sweeps to keep out the bugs, especially at night when guests are home and room lights are on, which attract bugs. The owners are a very nice family who take pride in the cleanliness and upkeep of the property. It's a good place for a budget stay if you don't mind the bugs or at least...
