Weekend visit to see family

The Lawns has always been good value .Since our last visit in early March it has been taken over by a lovely lady who made sure our stay was as good as it could be.Could not fault our room with a separate spacious and modern bathroom.

Short holiday to see family

We always enjoy our stay at the Lawns when we come to Retford to visit family and friends. The rooms are much bigger than average and there is plenty of wardrobe space. Lovely big towels and a good supply of hot drinks and bottled water.Extremely good value.

Only stayed one night, but this property was exactly as advertised on the Expedia site. It was clean, easy to find. Staff was friendly and helpful. The common kitchen was well equipped, clean and convenient. Close to grocery store, easy parking.

We organised a late checkin and we were kept fully informed as to where the key wiuld be and which room we had been allocated. The room was very clean and well presented. Will definitely book again when we're in the area

Visiting family and friends

Fabulous value for the size of room.We have stayed here many times when visiting family in Retford. Our room this time was a little disappointing compared to all the other rooms we stayed in.The bed was a double but we only had a single wardrobe and 5 hangers.Usually there is ample wardrobe space and a seating area.I will definitely return but will ask for the rooms we've had on previous visits. It is a very comfortable place to stsy and handy for walking into town.

Lovely stay here, the family room as nice and spacious and clean. We didn't have much interaction with staff as we arrived outside of hours, but their instructions were clear. There is a kitchen where you can cook your own food.

Really happy with our visit, we had 2 rooms and be very happy to visit again. One room we had the pillows were very firm and no complaint at all on the other. That’s not the end of the world, and don’t let this put you off.

The Release

Overall Clean & tidy. A functional room for one night. Great shower. Comfortable bed. Could do with some Net Curtains for Privacy. As big Windows and can be seen from road.

We stayed for 1 night at The Lawns Guest House & it is a really lovely place to stay. The parking right outside meant it was very convenient & it was easy to find. The room was lovely & very comfortable & clean but just a little dirty inside the bedside drawers. Would definitely stay there again.

good big rooms ,good idea with the kitchens ,staff friendly and parking great ..but we did not find the bed gave much support at all.. mattress needs changing .if you are a light sleeper ask for a back room as the road in front is very busy and woke me up both mornings at 6.30ish.

Check-in/check-out effortless. Apartment just what we needed although sofa was a little bit too low for us (probably an age thing!). The extractor fan in the bathroom wasn’t working but I have yet to report that to them.

Nice stay

The room was a nice size and the facilities good. The check in was easy and welcoming. We had room to park and a short walk into town which had lots to offer. There was no breakfast option but plenty of cafes in town. The only downside was the bed was a little uncomfortable as it was a double but we are used to our king size at home.
