"My husband & I and two other couples stayed at Penelope Home for 5 nights. The home is located about halfway between the 2 airports on Crete. (About an hour each direction) We liked the central location and enjoyed hikes, caves, the beach and other activities. The suggestions for restaurants and bakeries by our host were spot on. The host also handled our transfers which was very much appreciated."

"Just spent a lovely 2 weeks in this apartment. The location was perfect - only downside was the very noisy club down stairs - extremely loud music until 0300hrs every night. We were aware of this before booking so brought ear plugs. It did not spoil our stay. Apartment is comfortable. Kitchen adequate for self catering as plenty places to eat out at close quarters. The house perhaps needs some updating and attention to detail but was very homely and comfortable for our stay. Costas was very welcoming and intentive to our needs. There is also a large terrace overlooking the pool where we spent much time relaxing. "This was a great apartment for our week in Rethymno! Lots of space for my husband, 3 teens and myself. The apartment was clean and bright, with great people watching down below from the living room. I loved walking out the door and being immediately part of the old town scene. It could get a little loud in the evening, but the bedrooms are well placed so as to not be impacted. As noted in the listing, parking a car is tough, but we learned how to navigate this after the first couple of days....
