"The apartment matches the description and the photos. It is well set up, with everything you need for your stay. There are 2 AC units, one in each room, with a door that can be closed between them. The patio has shade all day and a nice view of the pool. The pool is well-maintained, and perfect for families, with several depth options. The apartment is a great base to explore the area. It takes about 15 minutes to walk into town (1km), where there are lots of dining and shopping options. "

"We wanted to experience Crete's culture. You really cannot do that when you stay in a hotel with 500 or your favorite friends!! This Villa is located about 30 minutes from Rethymno. Nestled in the foothills surrounded by olive orchards at about 1100 feet above sea level. We were there for 18 days. We discovered a Taverna (Mina's) in Garazo about 15 minutes away. The owners MADE our stay! Genuine Cretan food and hospitality."

"Not a good situation or experience with this property. We arrived at the local beach (beautiful) and enjoyed our day. At 4 pm I messaged the host to see if we could check in(check in after 4 pm on listing) and was told property not ready and to come at 6 pm and we said ok. We arrived at 6 pm to the property to find property in disarray and place absolutely nothing like posted pictures(pictures likely 5 years old). Host frantically trying to clean space with wipes and nothing ready. Beds unmade...

"An Excellent Family Stay – Highly Recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful stay at the resort as a family of five, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was fantastic. The resort was spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained, and the entire atmosphere was relaxed, welcoming, and family-friendly. The staff were absolutely wonderful — warm, friendly, attentive, and always happy to help, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The food was excellent, with plenty of choice and everything we tried being fresh and delicious. A special mention has to go to the pool bar, which was amazing! It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink while the kids were having fun. The children were also incredibly well catered for. The kids’ pool and kids’ club were fantastic, giving the children plenty to enjoy while also allowing us parents some time to relax and unwind. Overall, everything about our stay was great — from the cleanliness and food to the facilities and, most importantly, the wonderful staff. It really felt like a resort where families are genuinely looked after. We had an amazing holiday and would happily return. Highly recommended for families looking for a relaxing, enjoyable, and memorable stay! ❤️"

"We stayed at the Syntopia Hotel for our summer holiday. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, they put in extra effort to get to know you and ensure you are having a lovely holiday. A few days into our holiday, they were automatically bringing our favourite drinks to our table at meal times which was very lovely! The food had such a good variety with a different focus every other night. We particularly enjoyed the Asian night. We would recommend staying at the Syntopia to everyone!"

"Rooms were large and clean. The staff were great and did all they could to make our stay memorable. The pool was great and the food was excellent, breakfast, lunch and dinner were all very well done. The only caveat to that was the Tomatini restaurant which to our surprise was a little disappointing. This part of the island flies under the radar and is an absolute gem."

"Everything was simply perfect. From the beautiful pool-access room to the exceptional kindness and hospitality of the staff, every detail felt special. The hotel manager personally walked us to the dining room on our first visit, and Nikos from one of the hotel’s impressive restaurants was absolutely amazing. The spa is also fantastic and even offers hairdressing services. Simply wow. If you’re visiting Crete, don’t miss the chance to stay at OROS. An unforgettable experience!"
