"It was a nightmare trying to communicate prior to my stay. I booked 2 rooms for 2 adults and 2 children. I was told when I booked that I would need to wait until closer to stay to request rooms close to each other. There is no representative at location so all communication is via email or one time we phoned and the woman was very rude. "I was surprised at check in that we were told we had reserved 4 rooms. We did have 2 connecting rooms but my original booking that I had cancelled well in advance on Expedia never showed up on Hilton Heidelbergs end. I had to prove I had cancelled and had to forward emails to show that I did indeed cancel the first connecting rooms. Once that was fixed, the rest of the stay was ok. "

"Good sized room in a good location. Only one elevator was working which resulted in some lengthy delays getting to and from the upper levels. More than once during my two week stay I was left with 2 hand towels and no bath towel. Otherwise the stay was great. There's free travel on the Mannheim public transport included it you join their rewards program."
