"We really enjoyed the view. There were some issues with the television sets and it was very difficult until the technical guy came and finally got them to work a day after we were there. Also the patio was not cleaned we did that ourselves. Some of the furniture is coming apart. You need a more informed binder on how to use such things as the TV’s. All in all we enjoyed our stay but I should have ask first floor accommodation since we are in our 80’s and climbing stairs is not our easiest thing."

Lodge Motel - Bear Lake - Garden City

2/10 Terrible

"Not one thing it was the worst experience and stay I have ever had. I kid you not my granddaughter when we first drive up sees a little jungle gym. She begs me to go over I said sure before we even get into the hotel. There are bugs everywhere. Then there are two portable fire pits. It looks like someone had tried to burn a cover of a sofa. The pieces were everywhere. I told her that we could not go back. We have not even got into our hotel room when someone is coming up to us and saying did you call for toilet paper. I said I have not even been into the room and someone comes out of their hotel that was us. We get into the hotel room and I turned to my daughter and said we cannot stay here with the girls. I walked into the bathroom bugs everywhere the floor is molded out. My granddaughter had a cold and I was worried the mold would cause her to get worse. We saw that the policy is that we can only cancel the day before we arrived. So I said ok girls get your swim suits on we are out of here. We stayed at the lake as late as we could. We went back only to sleep and even then my daughter put a chair under the knob the person that gave us the key did not sounded like he only spoke Russian. We had no idea if we were even safe. We could not turn off the airconditioning. I had a hard time sleeping because we only had a very thin top cover and sheets. We could not turn off the air. Again we stayed away all day saturday and left on sunday as soon as we got up."

"The room is not the one we paid for. There is no air conditioning. The heater kept turning on even though it was 78 degrees. The sink was cracked. The toilet seat was not anchored down. Shower curtain does not cover the whole tub so the floor got wet. We were the only guests at the hotel and they didnt give us the lake front room that we paid for."

"The Cabin was much bigger and spacious than we had imagined from the pictures. We had PLENTY of seating for meals and for lounging for 37. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and prepping food. The play room was perfect for all the grandkids to run around in and entertain them with lots of options without tons of noise echoing throughout the house. Some of the beds were slightly wobbly but overall there weren’t any complaints about any of the rooms. The backyard was perfect for playing volleyball and other yard games and we loved playing tetherball. The house was right off the walking trail which made for fun evening and morning strolls. We were less than 5 min from the beach, shopping, fishing, pickleball courts and playgrounds. We definitely plan to use the cabin again for our large family reunions again!"

"We had the BEST time! The host, Donna, is amazing and the house had everything you could possibly think of! The house itself is incredible, but the thing that I loved even more were all of the small touches that Donna provided. There was a lovely gift bag, little toys hidden like a treasure hunt for the kids and "in case you forgot anything" baskets with every kind of bathroom essential. The house was the best stocked in terms of the kitchen that we've ever stayed in. It was a truly wonderful vacation for our family and I would highly recommend this home and host to anyone looking for a large family gathering space."
