Great location and lovely historic condo
My husband and I stayed in Richmond for a long weekend and lucked onto this beautiful condo in downtown. We are fans of old buildings and this one was old but still in great shape, very nicely kept up and included all the amenities we needed. The condo had 3 huge street- facing windows that admitted Plenty of light and made for some fun watching of the street scene below. Check in was seamless and the hosts were super responsive. We had to keep moving our car around in order to obtain reasonable parking that did not expire at 6 AM or some other time like that, but we worked it out. We would definitely stay here again

Awesome Location
We went to Richmond for a play at the Altria Theater and this location was within walking distance to the theater and some great restaurants. We only stayed one night, parking was right behind building. Host was excellent with great info.

Super easy check in, and they even helped us take our bags up! Building was clean and felt secure. Beautiful view from our apartment. Comfortable bed and couch. Looking for an excuse to.come back!

Hidden gem in Richmond!
Very nice and within walking distance to most of Richmond. Plenty of good restaurants, bars and breweries nearby as well. We enjoyed our stay!

Fantastic Downtown Richmond Living
We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful 4th floor penthouse. It was clean, spacious, and convenient to everything we wanted to do while in Richmond during the holidays. The owners were also great with communicating and made us feel right at home. I would definitely stay there again. Thanks so much!

Light and airy
Just as pictured: great light from large windows, cozy space perfect for lounging on cold blustery days. Open kitchen area with nice amenities. The apartment has a nice cozy yet historic feel to it with beautiful floors and restored ceilings. We walked mostly at Maymount and the beautiful Hollywood Cemetry overlooking the James River, not so much downtown. We would stay here again.

Very nice stay!
We were very impressed with the overall appearance of the condo. It was very comfortable. Great location to the convention center where we were working for the weekend. Surrounded by AMAZING food and fun bars. Parking outback was pretty straight forward and more inexpensive than other areas. Thanks for a great weekend!

Gem in the heart of it all
It was very easy to work with Mark through the booking and check in process. The unit is clean and very well appointed. The pictures on the site are accurate and representative of the property. The space is cozy and comfortable. The location for anything in downtown RVA is perfect. I would 100% recommend this property, and would very happily stay again!

Convenient Location
We hadn’t been to Richmond and wanted to experience it’s rich Civil War history. Getting around by car or on foot is easy, and the local food scene was an unexpected bonus. The space was quiet, clean and had a nice vibe. It was just right for us. Great visit

Easter weekend
The place was clean and conveniently located. We were in Richmond for Easter weekend to visit family who live just a few blocks away. We walked everywhere or rented ebikes so the location of this apartment was ideal for all that we wanted to see. Check in was easy. We did not have much communication with the owner as it wasn't necessary (again we were with local family) but he or the additional staff seemed very accessible should we have needed them.

Downtown funk
Center of the ART district and great restaurants around the corner. The check in process is unlike any other VBRO and to be taken to the room, review of access protocols, etc really is a flashback to days gone by. The instructions were clear and concise. Get the parking situation down pat. RVA parking requires a 12 hour check in.

Richmond for Anniversary
Check in was easy. Host was great with communication and helpful upon arrival with luggage and parking. Had everything needed in bath and kitchen. Loved the old charm but the freshened touch with loft apartment. Nice location in walking distance to good restaurants, museums, and governor’s district. Only a couple of blocks from Jefferson Hotel, which was nice to see decorated for Christmas.

Perfect location for marathon weekend
I chose this location because of its proximity to the starting line for my half marathon race. I was able to walk there in less than 15 minutes. Also very walkable to capital monuments and numerous restaurants. Host was an excellent communicator and helped to resolve a minor issue very quickly.

Richmond rocks
This place was not only super chic but the bed is incredibly comfortable. All amenities that you could need or want are included which always makes things easier when traveling. There is a bodega/corner store close by, there’s a Rite Aid close by. Everything that you could need is either within walking distance or a short car ride. The location is killer. I absolutely loved being near Gwar bar and saw a great metal show at Gallery 5 as well. Being near some great restaurants cafés galleries and shops was also really enjoyable. I’m a music lover and musician so renting a place from people who run a music store was right up my alley. There’s only one improvement I would suggest and that’s the bedframe. If you’re not careful in the night time you will bang your shins on the corners of it! 🤣 I’d easily stay here again. Thank you to Mark and Tommy. Richmond is so exciting for a creative and progressive minded person such as myself. I will return soon!

A magical stay in a perfectly managed space!
Everything about the space and connecting with the hosts was an absolute pleasure. They have really crafted a clean and simple VRBO experience, and we never ran into any snags or quirks through our entire stay. The space itself was also very accurate, and we found it to be a magical space. It also helps that it is set right in the heart of the Arts District, and is surrounded by some of the best food in the city. I highly recommend this location, as well as the hosts, too anytime hoping to stay in Richmond. We’ll certainly be back fora second stay the next time we’re in the area!

Perfect downtown location - centrally located
We stayed in this Monroe Ward Property for 9 days while we moved into our new house in Richmond. The house was on the south side of the James and the property is in downtown, but it is so well-located that we could be at the house in minutes via the freeway and anywhere else we needed to go in the city. The unit is nicely decorated and fairly well appointed. It's an old building with a lot of charm (tin ceilings, exposed brick, hardwood floors) with all the modern amenities including an elevator, high-speed internet and washer/dryer. There are multiple options for parking in the rear of the building and on surrounding side streets. Coming home late at night, we felt perfectly safe as the Richmond Police Department is next door. There are any number of dining options in a variety of price ranges within easy walking distance. The host and his assistant were extraordinarily helpful and responsive. Additional supplies appeared outside the door minutes after the call requesting them was placed. We would recommend this property to anyone coming to Richmond for a short or longer stay. It was perfect for us.

Great apartment!

Fantastic!
It was an amazing stay! Everything was well kept and taken care of. Check in and check out was super simple. The owners are so considerate and kind. The apartment is located in a great neighborhood with plenty of great restaurants to choose from. Will definitely be booking this place in the future.
