「This room in this home is basically a two season rental - spring or fall. This room does not have air conditioning. It was so hot during our July visit we couldn't stay the second night of our two-night visit. The squeeky broken ceiling fan did nothing to make it better. Other visitors have mentioned it was cold during their visit. There is no thermostat for the heat so you are relying on a remote thermostat somewhere else in the house to control the baseboard radiators. The location was...

「We had a good Christmas there, it was very clean and comfortable. The problem we encountered is the bathroom that had a bath tub, the spout in the tub part just didn’t have any water pressure to it and didn’t work at all after a short while. Also the water pressure in the whole house was in poor condition and the hot water didn’t work at all. Other than that all the rest was a comfortable stay.」

「Susan and Jeff were amazing hosts! There were so kind, thoughtful and welcoming. The suite was extremely spacious, well decorated and very comfortable. We were very close to the Air Show which was the reason for our trip. They gave us great instructions for a short cut to the airfield and amazing dinner recommendations. We could not have chosen a better place to stay. We highly recommend this place!」

「Spacious cottage (in a resort full of cottages) nicely located to visit Boothbay Harbor, Wiscasset and a day trip to the Portland coast. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc to make it easy to cook. Large table for family game nights. Great beds! The front porch and lawn were better for hanging outside. The back patio area is small and needs cleanup but we did not need it. 」

「Overall our stay was nice. Any communication with the host was clear and quick with responses. Check-in was easy and clear. The living areas were comfy and clean. The kitchen was well stocked with kitchen essentials, outside of scissors and a drying dish rack. The bathroom was also well stocked with bathroom essentials. The cooling/heating/fan controls were a little finicky (eg. If you set to cool or fan it seemed to favor heating the spaces vs cooling). My overall gripe was with the hot tub....

「I will return. I could have stayed longer. It was a nice respite from a stressful life. Hosts were amazing. Extremely accommodating! My dog loved being able to swim (and chase sticks - finally learned to bring them back to the beach) every day. I think it helped that the hosts left a container of the training cookies. And they left a dog bowl, which I forgot. The wood stove was perfect for keeping us warm at night and when my dog was a still chilly after her swims. Again, I will return!」
