“My family and I stayed here for 6 nights and had the most amazing time! The property is absolutely gorgeous, peaceful, and just the right amount of isolation in the mountains. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, always checking to make sure you're having a great time. The excursions were fantastic, we highly recommend the white water rafting! “Schönes Hotel mit Potenzial und traumhaftem Ausblick. Wir hatten insgesamt einen angenehmen Aufenthalt, haben viele Vögel gesehen und tolle Sonnenuntergänge erlebt. Trotzdem möchten wir einige Kritikpunkte ehrlich teilen. Auf unserer Reise mit 9 Unterkünften (3–4 Sterne, B&Bs) war dieses Hotel das teuerste – leider auch mit dem schwächsten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Erreichbarkeit vorab war schwierig, erst nach mehreren Versuchen erhielten wir eine Antwort. Das Frühstück war lecker, aber……

“The grounds are beautiful and the facility was clean and well-kept. Staff members were pleasant. We would actually consider staying there in a different room but the white cabin with the thatched roof was awkward and uncomfortable to the point that we left after one night even though we knew we wouldn't get a refund. You can tell from the photos that some of the description is inaccurate (It's just one bedroom and doesn't have a private pool though there is one pool for all guests to share.) but……

“Our villa was a pleasant surprise, poised up on a knoll at the beginning of the Ficus Trail with a lovely garden. Meals were beyond words, creative, beautifully plated and insanely good.”

“Nestled into the nature preserve. We were there at the start of the offseason. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and the view was epic. The pool area and restaurant were amazing. We plan on coming back someday to Costa Rica and if on the Pacific side we will spend more days here. Can’t recommend this place enough.”

“Hôtel à éviter, attente de 10mn devant le portail fermé sans sonnette à l'arrivée, accueil quasi clandestin par une gardienne femme de ménage ne parlant que l'espagnol et pas prévenue de notre arrivée alors que j'avais réservé depuis des semaines, essayant de me passer au téléphone la patronne me raccrochant au nez à plusieurs reprises, pas d'enregistrement d'arrivée, aucun autre personnel, aucune prestation autre qu'un médiocre petit déjeuner, aucune boisson disponible, bar et piscine fermées,……

“Nos gusta mucho este hotel, es la segunda vez que lo visitamos y esperemos no sea la última. La comida es deliciosa y el personal es muy amable. La única mejora que deben hacer es mejorar la cobertura del WiFi de manera que cubra el 100% de las habitaciones ”

“Lovely atmosphere with private feel yet still very close to beach and park. Breakfast on site was good and many places to eat within walking distance. The nature walk on property feels more 'jungle' then the trails in the park itself. We had two rooms side by side which worked well for our family of four. Pool area is very nice with shaded palapas. Trail at end of parking lot to beach which is flat and off the main road. Highly recommend if you want a smaller, quiet resort within easy walking……

“Beautiful gardens but no hummingbird feeders and variety of birds in April was limited. Obviously the hotel had tried to be more than it was with abandoned ziplines etc. I got the impression management was catering to one night stays for industrial sized groups to see quetzals. True, they succeed in that. Meanwhile other hotel birding trips were industrial too. Far better to get a ride to neighboring Batsu Gardens than use hotel birding tour.”
