Set to capture spectacular sea views and cooling trade winds, the home offers a serene retreat while remaining conveniently close to beaches, dining, and activities. Lively West End Village is just a five-minute drive away, making it easy to enjoy restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and water sports. World-renowned West Bay Beach, known for its powdery white sand and calm, crystal-clear waters, is also just a short drive away. For added convenience, several local restaurants and amenities are located only minutes away in Sandy Bay.

Designed for tropical living by award-winning designer Hal Sorrenti, the home showcases a spacious open-plan layout that blends indoor and outdoor spaces seamlessly. The fully equipped kitchen features hardwood cabinetry, concrete countertops, and everything needed for preparing meals at home. Adjacent to the kitchen, the comfortably furnished living and dining areas are framed by walls of glass, allowing uninterrupted views of the Caribbean Sea and filling the space with natural light and ocean breezes.

The expansive outdoor living area is a highlight of the property. A spacious deck surrounds the infinity-edge pool and offers multiple areas to relax and entertain. Off the deck, a thatched-roof palapa provides a shaded, comfortably furnished sitting area complete with a ceiling fan—perfect for lounging during the day, enjoying a good book, or unwinding with evening cocktails while taking in the panoramic ocean views. In addition, a screened-in dining area allows guests to enjoy shaded breakfasts overlooking serene turquoise waters or sunset dinners in a peaceful, bug-free setting.

The home features two well-appointed bedrooms on the main level. The primary bedroom includes a king-size bed, air conditioning, and a private ensuite bathroom. The guest bedroom offers a queen-size bed, air conditioning, and its own private bathroom. Both bedrooms open directly onto the deck and pool area from opposite sides of the house, providing privacy while still offering easy access to the shared outdoor spaces.

A second-level tower adds flexibility and charm, serving as either a private sitting room or a third guest bedroom with two twin beds. Elevated above the main living areas, this space enjoys enhanced views and added privacy.

Amazing views

We had an amazing trip. The house is close enough for a quick drive to West End but far enough to be away from the hustle and bustle. The views from the pictures do not do it justice. Absolutely incredible. Communication with property manager was good, check in was easy, and the caretaker was readily available for any issues (although we had none!) We would definitely stay here again.

This property, Purple Palace, was just amazing! The house itself was large, well equipped, clean, and the views and pool were unapparelled. Stella and her team, Elvis and of course "Princess" were so helpful, nice, polite and respectful. We can't recommend this house enough!!!

Very nice property and location.

This residence is very comfortable and conveniently located just 10 minutes from town. The main living area is very hot and does not have A/C. I would recommend opening all the doors, windows, and turn the fans on.

Great Views but had Some Issues

So there were pros and cons to staying here. Pros - spectacular views, clean, property management response to issues was great, pool was beautiful, convenient location, Elvis who stays on property was very nice and kept the outside looking beautiful, and layout was very nice. The property had majority of the items needed to live here like utensils and pans and etc. Cons - property has aged significantly and needs some repair and updating, no AC in main living room and kitchen, only bedrooms had AC, so it was quite hot in main area even with the fans. Had to get into the pool just to cool off or go to bedrooms. Water pressure was terrible and drain in Master bedroom clogged quickly with leaves and stuff. Upstairs bedroom had some bugs and spiders. For people who like to cook, the stove really needs a hood as it gets extra hot and smoky. Although it sounds like there were many negative issues, the positives really outweighed the negatives and we would stay here again if the AC/cooling of the main living area could be fixed. The remaining issues were fairly minor inconveniences.

Loved it.

Beautiful view, house was on the warm side except for bedrooms. Santos (caretaker)was very nice as well as the girl who checked us in (sorry can't remember your name). Close access to beautiful beaches and great food. Golfed/day pass at Pristine Bay which was nice but spent 10 minutes at beach in water and all 4 of us had at least 30 bites on us. We left right after. Didn't have that problem at any other beach (except in evenings). House has anything you need,we loved all her colorful dishes. If you decide to stay in a night though and relax, furniture in front of TV area is not real comfortable and pretty hot inside. Spent most evenings in the pool instead.

Séjour innoubliable à Roatan

Nous avons séjournée 2 semaines au Purple Palace à Roatan, la villa est superbe avec une vue incroyable sur la mer en flan de montagne. Tout les commodités rien ne manquait pour un séjour très agréable. Autant l'intérieur que l'extérieur la propreté était présente. Nous avons été reçu par Stella qui nous a tout expliqué dans le moindre détail le fonctionnement de la villa et les alentours Elle a été d'une gentillesse incroyable. Beaucoup apprécié. nous avons fait beaucoup de voyage et je peux confirmé que cette villa est de loin la plus belle et correspond exactement au photos sur le site. Merci à Tous pour tous les petites attentions et votre professionnalisme. Roatan est le plus bel endroit pour la plongée, la pèche et les resto très bien nous avons fait beaucoup d'activités et sommes très heureux de notre choix cette année. Je recommande en tout point d'aller à Roatan et surtout de séjournée à cette villa qui est le Purple Palace. Les gens sont gentils et serviables. Vous ne serez pas déçu!!!!!! Better than advertised!

We just got back from a week in paradise staying in the Purple Palace house. Everything about this house was great. Privacy, the Views, the pool, the decor, even the little geckos running around. It was incredible. There were some little bugs, which are literally everywhere on the island, so expect that and don't fuss over it. Buy and liberally use a product called Cactus Juice. It works well at keeping bugs at bay, and smells good too. A lot better than deet or Off. Find it on Amazon prior to your trip. Definitely rent a car, either from the owners, or at the airport. Roatan has a lot to see, and the ability to just up and go is a bonus. The Sandy Bay area has a lot of nice restaurants and bars that take some looking to find.

Purple palace

This was my fourth trip to Roatan, and the first time I have stayed at the Purple Palace. The view is amazing, the pool was great. The house is set up for large groups, well stocked. You need a car to get around, but the driving is very easy. Internet was sporadic, but worked 75% of the time. We didn't get the air conditioning, but I think we should have. The reason it was not five stars is there is not enough shade on deck, an umbrella would be great, and there are a lot of small bugs all over everything, I have seen these bugs often in the tropics, they are harmless but annoying ( I'm not a bug phobe, just the opposite my favorite trip was to the Amazon jungle) but I have to admit the bugs wore me out. The house is well cared for and check in and check out very easy. The caretaker lives on property and we felt very safe, never locked up the house when we would go out. Cell phone is provided to make local calls. Plenty of bottled drinking water is provided at the home. The other reviews I feel are very accurate with description of home and distances to places.

Roatan Paradise

High on a hill with never ending views. Everything we needed for an extended family get together. Glad we had a car to sightsee. We drove all over the island and had a wonderful time. Warm water and white sand beaches, yummy food and really nice people. Will come back again! Jimmie and Laurie

Purple Palace is Exactly as Shown - Gorgeous!

This house is high up with a view that can't be beat. Swimming in the infinity pool and looking out to the green and blue Caribbean is just an awesome feeling. The location is a 5 minute drive to Coxen Hole and a 10 minute drive to West End Beach. The house is very large and roomy and the two main bedrooms are at opposite ends of the house for privacy. the loft is a great 3rd bedroom and very private. The house was clean and had such wonderful decor - so much of the beautiful mahogany carvings! Just lovely. The caretaker, Santos, is a lovely and helpful man who brought us fresh coconuts ready to drink! The house is very well stocked with everything you need - including a Margarita maker ;D. Grocery shopping is 5 minutes away but we chose to only eat breakfast at the house. Lunch and dinner were spent tasting the delicious local cuisine - the Hondurans can cook! Lobster Pot at the very end of West End Beach had the best food at really great prices. The meals come with a lime pie desert - homemade and semi frozen - delish! We were there in April and were so lucky - very few mosquitoes! What a blessing. Definitely rent the car that comes with the property - it's worth it to drive around the island and see all the wonderful areas off the beaten path plus you wouldn't want to be calling a cab every time you want to go out - it would end up costing you too much. If you want to go shopping the best days are definitely cruise ship days (when the cruise ships are in). When we were there that was Tuesday to Thursday. That way you can be sure ALL of the stores are open and you can visit Mahogany Bay for the cruise ship shopping area. It's probably a bit more expensive there but all the shops are in one spot. We enjoyed stopping at the small little shops all over the island. Some of them had the best items that weren't found in the larger shops in Coxen Hole or French Harbour or West End Beach. The people of Roatan are so happy and helpful and wonderful. This was a wonderful and relaxing vacation - I would recommend Roatan and Purple Palace to anyone!

Beautiful Property in Roatan

We just returned after 2 weeks at this property. Like the previous reports state, this property is well stocked with everything you need to prepare your own meals - which we mostly did because it was just easier after happy hour in the pool lol. Purple Palace is very beautiful - what you see on line is exactly how it appears. We only used the master bedroom but you absolutely do need the air conditioning without a doubt. The power went out a couple of times (as is common in Central America) so bring a flashlight as there is no generator. There are lots of flashlights around the house as well although dim. Santos, the caretaker, truly made our stay even more enjoyable. He brought us beans and corn from his garden and even baked us a cake one day. Although my Spanish is limited, we were able to communicate quite well. Nice to see his smiling face all the time! You will want to rent the car from Purple Palace as it is about a 10 min drive to restaurants at West End and to the grocery store - make sure you go to Oasis Roatan for at least 1 or 2 dinners - unbelievable food. Cruise boats come in 4 days a week (Mon-Thur). With a car we were able to head to the east end of the island away from the cruisers and see some beautiful landscape - and then see the rest of the west end of the island when the cruisers left. Take the time to walk into Coxen Hole (park at Eldons-grocery store) but best to do this on a cruise day as a lot of the shops aren't open the other days we experienced. The Straw Market - nothing really there - very overrated. Be sure to go to La Sirena at Camp Bay - 1 hour or so car ride to east end of the island - and about 30 mins of that down a bumpy dirt road - but soooo worth it - great food, great rum punch - great view - a little shack right on the ocean. Groceries at Eldons or Plaza Mar - fresh stuff mostly Mon-Friday - buy fresh off the side of the road as well. So important - bring lots of repellant - lots of noseeums at dusk and dawn - we slept with repellant on and the netting but both still got chewed up - nothing to do with Purple Palace, everything to do with the Caribbean side. This is a dive/snorkel destination. If you like to do that or lay on a beach, this is the place for you. If you want quiet, this is the place to be.

Blue Tang was a real delight!

We've been coming to Roatan for a number of years now, and decided to stay in Lawson Rock this year due to some friends being near by. I'm really happy we did. Blue Tang sits at the top of the development, overlooking the ocean. It's private and very secure. You will have to cross the main road to get to the ocean however. The owners seemed to have put more thought into details like good quality bedding, kitchen knifes and pots which seems to be a rarity on VRBO, but was much appreciated. Stella's management team was fabulous and on time as always. My only request is that blinds or shades be put in the second bedroom (tower bedroom). With that room being surrounded in windows, our guests woke up as soon as the sun rose. Thankfully I was in the master which did have window shades. The master also had a wonderful outdoor shower which was a nice daily treat.

Wonderful Roatan

We just left from the Purple Palace. This house was perfect for my group. The pictures on this site are good, but it's even better in person. If you like a place away from all the cruise boat traffic this is the place for you. Everything about our stay was perfect. The manager, Stella, was extremely helpful with Roatan insight and thing to do. Everything was very professional and delivered as promised. The on site caretaker, Santo, is always available. What a nice guy. He serves as caretaker for the property and security. He brought us fresh green beans, peppers and Ayote from his garden he grows on one of the hillsides. I only wish he spoke more english because we all enjoyed his company. Everyone in my group happens to be animal people. Shortly after we arrived Daisy walked in the house. She's the dog that Santo takes care of but sort of comes with the house. She stayed with us every night and appreciated the left overs. She's very sweet. I hope others treat her like it's her home too. The house was perfect for our group of 4. Both bedrooms are great. The front bedroom has a fantastic view. The master bedroom is great with an outdoor shower. The kitchen has much more than I ever expected. There was every spice/seasoning you could imagine and good cookware. We cooked just about every night we were there. I've rented a lot of homes on vrbo. This was the best kitchen of all. The outside grill was perfect for us too. There is an upstairs loft with two twin beds but we only went up there once to see it and that was it. All three sleeping areas are air conditioned. The Wi-Fi worked great all week at the house. No problems connecting and staying connected. We spend most of our time out on the deck with the pool. The view is incredible. The Purple Palace made my 50th Birthday one to remember.
