Relaxing Stay

We enjoyed our trip to Rockaway Beach, and the home was nice in that it was big enough for friends and family to come and go over the week. the views were amazing. The house comes with pretty much everything that you will need for your stay. We were missing a few things but it was easy to make a run into Tillamook and pick up a few things here and there. Please request that the cleaning staff make sure that the dishes are clean as they were not and we had to wash quite a few things straight out of the cupboards.

Beautiful place —hopefully my issue was a one-off!

It’s lovely and right on the beach—just as pictured. Was perfect for us since we brought 2 families so we had a little separate space when needed. When we arrived the place smelled really strongly of marijuana and the property manager took over 24 hrs to get back to me, so by then it was pretty much aired out. There wasn’t even an apology and we came with 4 kids. Pretty disappointed.

Great View!

You can’t beat sitting on the deck and watching the ocean with an unobstructed view. Or even sitting in the living room looking at the ocean. And to end the day having s’mores on the wind protected fire pit right next to the house. One of the best locations in Rockaway Beach.

It was a beautiful home five bedrooms 2 1/2 baths. The third floor view for the sun sets were just gorgeous. Had everything we needed for this trip enjoying time with family.

Awesome ocean view

We had a group stay here, all of us were 56 years old to 81 years old. The Ocean view was great and a short walk to the beach. This house has 5 bedrooms with beds for couples which is what we needed, it is well stocked with kitchen appliances, plates, glasses, pots and pans and utensils. The deck on the top floor is nice with high back chairs and a table. There are a lot of games on the game shelf, the neighborhood is quiet and lots of parking. Town isn't too far but we spent most of our time on the beach or looking at the ocean from the deck or living room. We would defiantly rent this home again. So much room and fun for all.

No- Go for the $

We only loved the location and the view. Spectacular. But Chris needs to take this out of the rental pool for a couple of weeks to update the cleanliness and amenities to bring in the kind of $ he is asking. And the MOLD???? Absolutely no excuse ever.

The first glance I felt like the property was well kept. Unfortunately, after a few guests left, we took the sheets off of the bedding, and there was no mattress on one of them. There was several stains, and the pillows looked horrendous. Going up to flights of steps. There is no handrail at all. It was outside in the rain with a big railing not a small hand for an 88 year old woman. Halfway through the trip there was no dishwasher because the rack fell off so I had to run it dishes down to the 18 inch dishwasher or I had to do it by hand.. the bathroom tub was very slippery. We asked for a mat and it took them over a day to respond and I was already at the store buying one for safety purposes.. I think it would be very inexpensive to purchase pillows and a waterproof mattress pad and that would save your mattresses, but also verifying your pots and pans or purchasing some that are in better shape. The kitchen was well stocked with a lot of spoons and spatulas. It did not have enough dishes for a party of 10 with going downstairs and taking the dishes and utensils.

Deck and stairs are extremely unsafe, lower deck does not seem like it is attached to anything, stairs to upper deck sway when you walk on it and upper deck itself does not seem stable. Advertised that there was a baby gate but it was broken and didn’t work, if you are going to say you have a baby gate please have one that works. Kitchen and living room have an ant problem. Pictures make the house seem cleaner and updated than the house actually is.

Roomy space with beautiful view

The house was nice for our family and there was plenty of room for our large group. The house is in need of a deep clean. There were ants, dead and alive. There are two separate living areas and kitchens however, there are not enough dishes, kitchen ware for the amount of people the house holds. We had to share plates and bowls. The view is amazing. The balcony is a great place to be but I wish it had been updated a bit as I was concerned about how safe it was. The fire pit is a small area and also not big enough for the amount of people the house holds. Overall, I would stay here again just hope there are some updates when I do.

Our stay at this home

This home is very close to the beach and has great views from the upper floor. Large enough for several guest to be comfortable. The upper floor could use a deep cleaning including the furniture in the upper level. The couches had several stains on them. Went to vacuum and the upper floor vacuum cleaner doesnt work. Our dad came with us that has a hard time walking and uses a walker which the lowerr level was great for him, but coming up stairs to be with us was a little more challenging for him because there was not a hand rail for him to use. I also had to battle the little sugar ants during our stay. Over all we had a good stay with the views we had and the easy walk down to the beach from the home.

Birthday getaway

This was the perfect getaway for a beach weekend trip. With an amazing beautiful view. Lots of games to play. And great rooms to stay in that were very clean. One complaint would be the doorknob, we didn’t realize that it’s opposite to lock. We got locked out on the back deck. But luckily we left the garage door unlocked-if not we would’ve been in trouble! And something very very minor but was much needed was hot sauce!!!! (For own preference). They had lots of great spices on deck. Myself and my guests were VERY pleased with the home and location. Thank you so much!

Breathtaking views

We loved our stay at Chris’s Getaway because the views were incredible! It was so soothing to hear the ocean and be able to take it in from the main living area. Beach access was super easy as well. My only disappointment was, for the price, I would expect clean carpets, a coffee maker with a carafe that fit and better cooking tools in the kitchen. Overall, some basic maintenance was needed. The views, however, didn’t disappoint!

There were some things that complicated our visit

Only two burners on the stove functioned. Problems with electric circuits. We would have completed the dishwashing machine,but not enough soap, same for laundry. Appreciated the fire pit and the metal forks for s'mores.

Great home for family vacation

Liked having two kitchens when preparing food for our group. The view from balcony is awesome. Beach access so easy. The house is fully stocked ... lots of plates, cups, pots n pans, stacks of towels, great game selection, sand toys, plenty of bedding. We loved our time here.

Great house, easy check in and check out

It doesn't get any closer to the beach than this! We went in the offseason in March but lucked out with great, sunny weather. I only saw a handful of other people on the beach the entire time so it felt like we had it all to ourselves. The house had everything you would expect and check-in and check-out were easy. The wifi password given didn't match but was easily found on the modem downstairs. Besides, we were there to disconnect anyway and spent most of our time on the great deck.

Fantastic house

It was roomy. Especially love the upstairs downstairs setup. My son and his family had a chance to relax with the 5 yrs old and have calming time for the boy before bedtime. Beautiful view, beautiful house! Cant wait to go again.
