  • New in our program, this home has many great reviews from past guests.

    It's time to hit the beach at Gone Coastal #139! Located down a secluded road in Rodanthe, this home offers four bedrooms, four and two half baths, all just steps away from the warm sands of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore.

    You'll find covered parking for two vehicles, high-speed WiFi, and a washer and dryer for your convenience. Gone Coastal has multiple levels of decks on the north and south sides of the home, all of which share spectacular ocean and sound views. A hot tub sits on the second-level sun deck.

    Entering the home on the ground level, Bedroom number one is also on this floor and contains a pyramid bunk, TV, and full bathroom.

    Bedrooms two, three, and four rest on the second level. Room two is a king main and has access to the second level covered deck on the north side of the home. Rooms three and four are also king main bedrooms with access to the south side deck in each of them.

    The great room and kitchen areas offer plenty of space, natural sunlight, and fantastic ocean views. The three-person breakfast bar and eight-person dining room table provide plenty of seating for shared meals, and the kitchen is well-equipped to prepare your secret family recipes.

    With only one other home close by, this is a nice and quiet spot in Rodanthe with plenty of privacy. With the beach in your backyard and ocean and sound views, head east and make Gone Coastal your new beach hideout!

The house we originally rented was inaccessible so vacasa put is in another one. They were kind and helpful. We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean. We really enjoyed our stay. The refrigerator on the third floor was making a noise so might need to keep an eye on that. There was no tv in the master bedroom on third floor. That is the only recommendation I can give. Thank you for your great communication and giving us the opportunity to stay in this home!

Amazing!

This place is even better than the description and pictures. We travel frequently and it’s our favorite property to date. The size of the house, layout, cleanliness, beach views and access, hot tub, it checked all the boxes and we did not want to leave. We’ll absolutely be back!

The house was beautiful and clean with so much room! There is a second floor deck off of each bedroom and the hot tub was very clean so relaxing. The only thing that was not so pleasant was the gravel road leading up to the house, it was washed out in some places and a few not so attractive single wide trailers along the side. The gas grill worked perfectly and there is an enclosed outdoor shower with hot water to rinse off after you come in from the beach. We had a great vacation here and I recommend this house!

Family vacation

The house itself was great and very clean. We had six adults, two small children and a baby. Plenty of room. Road to get to house is a dirt road and very narrow but navigable. We had an SUV and two full sized pickup trucks and had no problems.

Beautiful property. Tastefully decorated with cozy areas throughout. Only thing I would prefer is to not have quite as many stairs to climb and since the pool table is too constricted in that space maybe trade it out for a foosball table 😊

We were very disappointed to arrive and find that we could not reach the house because of flooding. The office was closed and It took almost an hour to get through to the emergency staff, who did eventually find us another house a few miles away. Overall we were delayed by two hours and the substitute house had fewer bathrooms and also several pickets on the top deck that were detached from the deck, creating a safety hazard. Other than that, the house was comfortable, clean, and spacious.

Enjoyable stay overall

Location was great. House was very nice and spacious. Loved the layout of 3 king beds with private bathrooms. Not a fan of the check in/out process. WiFi info provided is incorrect btw but we were able to figure it out. Kitchen decently stocked, a few things missing (such as extra garbage bags) but otherwise a good variety. Overall a pleasant stay!

Great house and wonderful views!

The main 3rd floor had not only incredible views but was a great place to have kids, grandma and my husband and I to interact. We were thankful for the 1st floor bedroom for my 87 yr old mom which gave her a private bathroom as well as a private space. The stairs were wide with handrails plus having a chair on the 2nd floor gave her a minute to rest before climbing to the 3rd floor. Easy access to the beach and the hot tub was wonderful seeing/hearing the ocean while soaking!

Great house and even better location

The house was great and right on the beach with perfect access. The covered parking area huge and easily fit two cars. There are huge decks with views and shade or sun for everyone. The house was very clean and well kept. We had one minor maintenance issue that was resolved by a very friendly technician within two hours. My only wish was that the furniture around the tv was updated.

The home was clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed. The distance to the beach was convenient and the deck views spectacular!! With only 3 homes nearby privacy was nice. A few cons… the lock getting in was incredibly difficult and needs to be changed ASAP!!! The cable was spotty and only one set of hot tub jets worked. With a few minor updates it’d be a 5 star.

Great property

This is our second visit to this property. It’s a great house! Our only complaint is that we lost internet on the first day of our visit, called Vacasa and they said they’d attempt to fix and if it wasn’t fixed they would refund some of our fee. It was never fixed and despite multiple calls to Vacasa, they still haven’t provided a refund even though they always say they will via our phone calls. Despite this interaction and lack of internet, the stay was great.

Great Home and Great Location

A group of 7 life long friends celebrating their 40th. House was clean and location was beautiful. The home itself could use a little inexpensive TLC, ie. New shower curtains n kitchen supplies). Management office was empty and offered little to no communication. Messaging through the app offered no help as messages were returned 12-16 hours later. Key and House availability was never communicated n office was empty n locked upon arrival (3 and 5pm). Overall, I Would def be happy to stay here again. Management needs to improve communication. imcommunication.

Birthday with a lovely view

We had a lovely rest and enjoyed ourselves, the bed we used was comfortable but would suggest a mattress pad as the mattress was very stained when I stripped bed morning we left. The shower in our room did not drain so we had to dirty other restrooms. Being a pet friendly home, I would suggest not have rugs everywhere, the kitchen smelled strong of dog from the rug in there. We liked the home but will not rent again due to Vacasa, they would not tell me before I booked if the the home was keyless entry, we still did not find out till a day before check in, we could not go to office until 5pm and then find home in dark, the "secluded" road needs to be re worded, its full of pot holes and you must pass a trailer park before a wood bridge, there is nothing secluded about it. We received 3 different ways of instructions via, email, text and the app. None were the same on departure and very confusing. This was our first time going through them and will not again. Thank you to the owners for offering your home to be rented

Great Location, Nice Home, Very Poorly Maintained

The house is only a few steps from a beautiful beach and there are great views from all the decks. The furnishing were generally comfortable and the kitchen was reasonably equipped. Unfortunately, this house has been very poorly maintained. The carpeting in the floor with the bedrooms and on the stairs looked like it hadn't been cleaned it years and was so stained that we didn't want to walk on it barefoot. Half the screens on the screened porch were torn or missing as were the screens on most of the doors—one of which was so bent and broken that it kept banging in the wind until we wedged a table against it. One of the bathroom sinks wouldn't drain, one of the shower heads was broken, half the lights didn't work or were missing light bulbs, the outside shower didn't work, and of the three hairdryers only one worked. There were a number of other issues as well. The rental company did give us some compensation, but did not make any offers to fix anything while we were there.

Beautiful Home

We had a lovely time at this beautiful home. It is just steps from the ocean and has lots of space. We loved the ice machine in the kitchen. It was just my husband and I there so we only used one bedroom but it was very comfortable and it was in great shape. I read in some earlier reviews that people were concerned about the cleanliness of the carpets, I am happy to say that the carpets had just been cleaned prior to our arrival and they looked great. It has to be a huge challenge to keep those carpets clean given the amount of sand that comes in on your feet, even just from being in the covered car porch. We loved it here and look forward to returning next fall, some suggestions though would be to replace the kitchen dishes, they have seen better days. And while I am sure the smaller sofa in the living room was once lovely it belongs at the side of the road (sorry). The pool table in the basement is great, but it’s a little too big for the space. The house could also use an “detailing” blinds, door knobs, baseboards and light switches. And lastly… the BBQ, my goodness it belongs next to the sofa on the side of the road by the garbage pails. The negatives I have pointed out though are minor in the grand scheme of things, all that aside this house is lovely and I would highly recommend it to others.

Honeymoon Trip

There were some issues with our stay but I opted to give 5 stars anyway. I was looking forward to the hot tub as I have arthritis in my back. We arrived on Monday and we didn't try the hot tub until Thursday. The jets didn't work even though you could hear the motor come on. We were told that someone would be by the next morning to address the hot tub. No one ever came and that was very disappointing since I had looked forward to it. We were leaving on Saturday so there was not point in us calling about it again. We realized on Thursday that the AC on the third floor was barely working and it never got below 80. Someone was sent out immediately to assess the issue. It couldn't be fixed until the next day so they put in a window unit. It didn't cool well with the large space, but they did what they could. The next day it was fixed. Overall it wasn't a bad stay but I was disappointed that no one ever showed up to look at the hot tub.
