  • Bonner Bridge is one of North Carolina's most well known man-made structures of it's kind (The Linn Cove Viaduct on the Blue Ridge Parkway is probably the most well known). This location makes for a great getaway at the Outerbanks to spend an entire day (and night). The location is popular for fishing and is ideal for landscape and astro photography. You can have lots of fun on some of the dunes, although getting the sand out afterwards is a big hassle. This is one of my favorite images from this location. I love the warm light tones and the shadows that create a contrast in the foreground sand. It is created from a single exposure with only minor modifications made to adjust overall contrast and brightness. If you are interested in wildlife, the Pea Island Wildlife Refuge is nearby and is a very popular location. The elevator and hot tub was not working our whole stay, and we were told that the realty company knew the elevator wasn’t working 2 days before we came. I feel we should have been informed about it and given the opportunity to find us somewhere else to stay because the main reason that I picked this house to stay in was because it had an elevator. My husband has a heart condition and can’t walk up stairs, and we had two other people staying with us that have medical conditions that can’t walk up and down stairs either. So we had a horrible stay at this house. And also they did do any kind of preparedness for the storm and flooding so all our cars got stuck in the sand from the flooding and my car almost got flooded too. They should have at least put out sand bags

Nice but issues

We loved the place but had several complaints that a few were addressed but no refund given for total removal of bathroom use , especially when 2 weeks before arrival I was promised house would be 100 percent. Disappointed in maintenance of a beautiful home!
