“I have spent 8 days at the Hotel Tropicana here in Puerto Vallarta now, and I will definitely be back. I am a hotel/resort consultant, and I work with new hotels to set up accommodation systems, booking platforms, online presence, etc. I was not working on this trip. I was simply a guest. Being in the business, I, of course, find myself critiquing hotels and resorts wherever I stay at them, and I stay at plenty, worldwide. The Hotel Tropicana is not perfect - far from it, but that is its……

“This is the 3rd or 4th time we have stayed in this hotel and we love it. The staff is always accommodating. The rooms are basic; but the beds are comfortable. Location can't be beat! I would highly recommend this hotel. The rooms facing the ocean are worth the extra $$. ”

“The room at first night was small and there’s serious problem with the shower, the sewer was clogged and water flowed over all over the room all the way to the downstairs, we had to request to change to another room. Swimming pool at rooftop was not well maintained so the water looks not clean. ”

The restaurant’s food and drinks were fantastic and reasonably priced. The staff was so helpful and kind, especially Gustavo whose attentiveness and service went above and beyond.
