This new apartment is located in the heart of Trastevere in Piazza della Malva. It offers its guests the maximum comfort in the Eternal City. It is the ideal accommodation for those wishing to indulge in the charm of Ancient Popular Rome, the area actually, still dominated by beautiful cobbled streets, hidden squares, historic buildings, restaurants, cafés, craft shops and small boutiques.

The neighborhood is full of life, day and night and this makes Trastevere the ideal destination for those who are seeking the true soul of the city, in addition to the monuments. Actually, Trastevere is still one of the most loved areas of the city by the Romans as well as tourists who are visiting the Eternal City.

The apartment has been recently refurbished and consists of two beautiful, spacious and bright double bedrooms with an extra bed on request, anteroom with a sofa bed, a nice living room with sofa, a TV and extendable table, a fully equipped kitchen and a bathrooms with shower.

The apartment is equipped with all comforts including air conditioning, heating, internet wifi, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, oven and microwave, kettle, espresso coffee maker, fridge with freezer, iron and ironing board, bed linen and towels.

The apartment is very quiet due to the soundproof windows and due to the fact that it is located on the third floor (with elevator) of a typical old building.

Nearby there are supermarkets, restaurants, taverns, bars and pubs. The main tourist attractions can be reached on foot or by public transport, which is also at your fingertips.
There are several bus / tram stops (walking distance) to reach other parts of the city.

What a fantastic location. So central to everything with great coffee, pastries and food at your doorstep. Apartment was very clean, comfortable and had all we needed. Communication with the hosts was great and instructions for check in/out and around the use of apartment and neighborhood amenities was great! Make sure to eat at one of the Tonnarello’s and La Cononica while there. Book this spot for a comfortable and convenient stay in Rome.

We ate out all the time so did not use kitchen. In October so AC not needed. The only issue was initial entry to the location was difficult. Would suggest having the manager meet to let us in.

Excellent location for both the immediate neighborhood right outside and walkable to all the major sights in Rome. Very nice place and fit our family of 6 using the sofa bed. Good communication and very responsive. We had a great time!

Great neighborhood

We are not city people, but flew into Rome for a trip around Italy, so we knew we had to stay in the city for a few days. This neighborhood was perfect! Restaurants close by, but you are away from the crazy crowds of Rome. There were five of us staying there and our youngest son took the fold-out couch, but it might not be comfortable for an adult. Everything worked well in the apartment, however, if you are tall, you may have a hard time in the bathroom, as the ceiling slants down right above the sink. The check-in process was figure-out-able, but a little complicated. You are given a code to put into an electronic screen to unlock a mailbox across the room that has your house key in it. When we arrived at the scheduled time (3pm), the cleaning person was still there finishing up the last bit of mopping. It wasn’t a big deal, though. I would certainly come stay in this location again!

Beautiful place and very comfortable. Right in the heart of the city gives the true feeling of Italy. Lots of great restraunts and bodegas outside the door. Very comfrotable and thankfully since unfortunately my husband developed a sever inner ear trauma, was hospitalized for two days and had to stay behind in the condo most of the time but because its was alot like home and comfortable he managed and got better. Owners were always helpful and responded quickly to any questions and concerns. Highly recommended to anyone. Thank you

Perfect Location

We spent four night in this home away from home that we didn’t want to leave! We fell in love with the area as it was where the local residents live and eat and commune! It was a true Italian experience and close enough to get to all of the historical areas that we wanted to visit! We will be back!

Trastevere is the place to stay

Casa Malvarosa was perfect, and exactly as advertised. Location is actually perfect on what you might call the edge of the neighborhood - but makes it perfect and convenient to get in and out.It is on the “busier side” of Trastevere - so everything literally starts right outside your door. This can make it a bit loud at night, but the windows are updated and canceled the noise well.Host TEAM- Instructions, communications, assistance, recommendations were great.

Great location and very clean!

We enjoyed our stay very much. The place is spacious and in a great location. It is lively outside, but the windows do keep most of the noise out. If you are very sensitive to noise, you may want to bring some earplugs. The apartment was well appointed. The coffee maker is a moka pot. If you are not familiar with how to use one, you may want to look it up before arrival. (We have had one for many years, so we were very familiar with how to use it.) Some coffee was kindly provided in the kitchen along with sugar. There is also an electric water kettle and a stove top version if you prefer tea. There are many restaurants, bars, and cafés nearby, including some right outside the apartment building. The elevator is small but comes in handy if you can't walk up the stairs. The apartment managers were very nice and easy to work with. We even took them up on the offer to arrange for a van to bring us to and from the airport. We thought the price was reasonable and the service was excellent. We highly recommend this apartment and would book again when we are in Rome.

Much needed getaway

Loved the location! The check-in was unexpectedly challenging, as the adjacent baggage storage facility where we were supposed to get the keys was unexpectedly closed. The property manager was very receptive and came to sort things out personally. No problems after that! Lovely breakfast spot just downstairs and many delicious restaurants wi the in steps. Beautiful and comfortable apartment!

Great location for foodies

This property is located in a third floor apartment with a small lift. It is typical of the area with high ceilings and lots of stairs. Beds are comfortable and clean, bathroom is clean with plenty of hot water. Location is in the Trastevere district which has an amazing selection of cafes, bakeries, gelaterias, bars and restaurants. There is an open air food market with the most amazing fresh food (visited in September). Be aware that there is a lot of colorful graffiti in the area but unlike the US, it doesn’t portend gang/criminal activity. Walked the area at night without concerns for safety. Easy location for use of public transportation. Check out Bacco just outside the buildings door. Great food and wine.

Beyond expectations

We loved so many things about this property. Starting with the location. When I looked online and saw the Google Maps picture I saw graffiti and was concerned, wondering if this was a safe area. (I didn’t realize that there’s graffiti all over Italy.) I felt like this apartment was extremely safe. The location was safe, and it is a very secure apartment. It was a very vibrant and very fun area. I would definitely stay in this area again. We walked to everything and never needed an Uber. This was perhaps one of the cleanest VRBO I’ve ever stayed at. It was spotless. You can tell a lot of care went into cleaning it. The bed Was so comfortable that my husband said that we should get one of these beds at home. I’m also very fussy about pillows and these pillows were perfect. The water pressure was great and the bathroom was updated. There were nice instructions sent. We had a harder time figuring out the garbage situation and how to work the stove, but in the end we figured that out as well. Thanks to our hosts for making our first trip to Rome wonderful.

Very nice apartment

As a married couple traveling with two adult children (a man and a woman) navigating room and bed assignments was tricky here. The pull out sofa bed would not have worked well for us for many days, but it worked fine for our short stay. The apartment would be fine for two couples or a family with younger kids. Check in and check out and general communication with our hosts was excellent. A/C is provided by three heat pumps but electric capacity allows for only two running at the same time. Temps in the 80’s were manageable but if they were higher that might be an issue. Can’t beat the location. We’ve stayed in Travestere before and love it for all the food, small shops, and night life. The apartment is close to the foot bridge across the Tiber so is terrific for walking to the downtown sites.

Appartement parfait pour nos besoins

Appartement spacieux, cuisine assez bien équipée juste à côté du Ponte Sisto. Nous étions 2 amies, mais l’appartement est assez grand pour être 2 couples et confortable. Nous y avons passé 1 semaine et nous avons pu nous déplacer à pied vers toutes les endroits que nous souhaitions voir. Le tout dans un rayon de au plus 30 à 40 minutes de marche. Nous y retournerions sans hésitation.
