"This was my first visit to York and the Ryedale cottages was the best place to stay while in the area. The house is lovely with comfortable beds, clean linens, and loads of games to play as a family. There are miles of walking trails and some cheeky sheep to see up the road. The view from the front of the house was beautiful and the hosts were so lovely. We arrived with a bottle of champagne in the refrigerator and a Victoria sponge on the table waiting for us. "Our weekend in this cottage was comfortable and cosy. There was plenty of space for the two of us and it would be excellent for families as there are two lounge areas, one very spacious on the top floor. We appreciated the efficient log burner and were provided with all the equipment we needed. The views were lovely with one side looking over a field with horses, alpacas and pheasants. Contact with the owner was excellent. A lovely place to stay."
