"The damn tv kept turning itself on with a bright ‘welcome’ screen. I don’t need to be welcomed by a damn tv! This got irritating during the night. ‘Off’ didn’t work. No plug visible. I dialled ‘9’ and the guy came and said ‘just select a channel then turn it off’. Then he added, ‘if that doesn’t work then pull your room card out of the slot so all the electricity goes off in the room’ (but my phone won’t charge!) It didn’t work. The tv came on during the night and woke me up again. I pulled the tv away from the wall and discovered a big ‘off’ switch. Hurray! Apart from that the hotel is a gem, the food delicious and the staff very pleasant."
