"Hotel had overbooked and our room was not available (despite being booked nearly 6 months in advance and paid for). The explanation "We have given YOUR room to someone else by mistake". A few amazing members of staff let down by some truly incompetent senior managers. Take care when booking and don't be the last ones to arrive."

"Everything was brilliant apart from 2 things. Unfortunately those things mean we don’t get a proper nights sleep. 1: the shower suddenly started to drip in the middle of the night, not once but twice. Both times lasting around 5 mins. The second time I would not stop and I had to turn the shower on for a few seconds and off again to make it stop. 2. There was a flash and small blip from the fire alarm. Again, this happened more than once through the night. Everything else was good (save a slow check in but they were busy) and if not for these issues it would be 5 stars. However, such a disturbed sleep made the stay somewhere I am dubious to return to. "

"A lovely stay, easy to get to from the M1.The hotel has ample parking and EV charge points. Excellent customer Service from the reception team to the restaurant team. The room was lovely and the food was very nice. All in all a nice stay."

"Nearest shop I found was the Co-op in Kegworth. Room was clean and fine, but there was no info, eg that there's an alarm which goes off if you don't latch the kitchen door, who to contact and how I'm case of need. Prior to arrival, a map of the site showing checkin location would be useful. I booked with hotels.com. I was disconcerted to receive repeated, unexpected, curious-looking emails and phone messages threatening to cancel my booking if I didn't send my government id and a selfie to what looked like an unrelated url. These continued despite having an email from the property confirming my stay. It meant that on my journey felt apprehensive as I didn't know if I would or wouldn't have a booking on arrival. "
