“My wife and I loved staying at Home Farm Cottage. It was lovely and clean and although small, was nice and cosy with sufficient space and facilities to comfortably accommodate two people. The views of the surrounding countryside was spectacular and added to a very relaxing stay to help recharge our batteries! The property is located right next to two lakes with a caravan site at the far end. If you are thinking of fishing, the near lake is too easy as it has a large stock of very hungry carp……

“A very comfortable cottage. Excellent enclosed garden if you have a dog and great walks within 200 yards of the cottage to the 'deeps' or beyond to at least two longer distance paths. Stamford is ten minutes away and if yoir visiting family in the area its a great base with good road links. We had our break at half term (February) the cottage is well heated with a log burning fire!....we bought extra logs from Morrisons in Stamford (about £8 a bag).Bob and Sarah provided a great welcome pack……

“A lovely, homely, and quirky cottage with a garden to the canal and visible from the sunny backroom. Huge advantage of an upstairs bathroom by the bedrooms and another showroom downstairs. Lots of equipment including a dishwasher and washer/dryer machines. The shops are a short walk into the village and the Navigation pub close by has a big canal side open area and a cosy interior offering a good range of small dishes and excellent meals. A quick walk along the canal sees ducks and geese, locks……

“Fab place for a group of 6 friends having a weekend catch up - which we were. The hot tub is a great addition and was well used. The house itself is spacious and comfortable and there was plenty of parking. It was a good spot to walk to foxton locks and gumley we had a great weekend - thank you!”

“The house is probably fine if you stay there in the summer, but we stayed 14-18th November 2025. The house is freezing cold and to further 'improve' the experience, the company that rents the house have decided to limit the temperature the thermostat can be turned up to. In addition all the bedroom radiator valves have been jammed. So the house is cold and your ability to turn up the heating limited by the owner. I did speak to the landlord about this but he was of the opinion that the……
