“My wife and I spent three days at Clos Vieux Rochers and we could not have been happier with our choice. The property itself is peacefully situated on a quiet road in a beautiful area, close to St Emilion and other attractions yet away from it all. Owners Steve and Rob have clearly put a lot of heart (and sweat I'm sure) into the property. The cottage we stayed in was clean and comfortable with a tasteful decor and included everything one could ask of a self-catering unit. One of the highlights……

“It's hard to know where to begin, but I will start off with the Biggest THANK YOU I can say! My wife and I stayed with Rob and Steve for a week and we could not have asked for more! The moment we arrived, we knew we made the correct choice to stay at Clos Vieux Rochers! The property is beautiful, the hospitality is even better, and the wine that these two make, is world class! Our home for the week was spotless and had every amenity we could ask for! We had homemade breakfast every morning which……

“Spent 5 days in this beautiful cottage which borders on the the owners home. The owner was lovely, we were delighted with the wine bottles she left us, very thoughtful. The pool area is amazing! The area is stunning. The only downside was having a couple of days rain!!”

“Well designed and fully equipped 2-bedroom gite set in vineyards within 5 minutes drive of St Emilion and surrounding wineries. The peace and tranquility of the setting is delightful, with all you need for your stay in the two-storey farmhouse. Access to the many good restaurants and historic monuments in St Emilion made this 5-day stay one of our highlights.”

“We stayed one week in Emmanuel's house. It's a comfortable, cozy house, enough space, very nice terras. The house is near a regional road. Unfortunately you cam hear the traffic rumour when you're outside. Our contact with Emmanuel was very good, our local host Christophe was very polite and hospitable.”

Hosts are lovely and responded quickly when bathroom sink sprang a leak A reminder that being surrounded by vineyards is beautiful but includes early morning industry noise of people and machinery at work. I'm not a Princess but... the Moulin interior decor was somewhat disappointing - nasty plastic storage cupboards in kitchen and bathroom really cheapen the look which could easily be made more ' luxurious' with a visit to a Brocant and a little……
