"It is a cool place if you know what expect. The staff is very nice. The room only had a/c in the bedroom, and the ceiling fan didn't work in the living area. They did bring us a plug in fan. The restaurant and bar closes very early, so pepare. I do recommend the omelettes in the morning."

"Everything you need is there. We were however unfortunate with the continuous rain, which made the open space a disadvantage (no way to get your clothes dry anymore). It is easy enough to go down to the (dryer and sunnier) coast, so location is good in general."

"Berkey himself is a gracious, helpful, and thoughtful host. His communications are excellent and once there, he will be there for you. He attends to details and has pride in this hideaway. It requires a walk up ~40 steep steps but once on top, your are in a beautiful valley with wildlife and jungle sounds. Accommodations are basic but sufficient, if you are looking for an experience more like Dominica than a luxury hotel, Berkey's place is fine. Access to the property is straightforward and...

"Overall we loved it, though it would have been good to know that you can't drive to the hotel if you don't have a proper 4WD as it is located at the end of a long and steep tarished road. Luckily the hotel offers an transport service for the dirty road between 8am and 5pm. They also offer food(preorder only) and drinks at the bar. The staff was very nice and always helpful. Our favourite was the weekday driver. The cottage had a very nice kitchen unfortunately not much utensils in it... Being so...

"Overlooking the Atlantic with beautiful views. Host was very attentive and the grounds well kept. Kitchen very usable. Could have used a vegetable peeler and a can opener. We didn't use the pool because the weather was a little "chilly " especially combined with the high winds. Looking forward to returning. forward to returning again. "
