“Burkey's place is beautiful, well stocked and relaxing! We went with two young kids, and we enjoyed the ability to wash our clothes and make dinner, while still being in a unique Jungle setting. Would definitely recommend, especially to a couple or two couples traveling together. ”

“Overall we loved it, though it would have been good to know that you can't drive to the hotel if you don't have a proper 4WD as it is located at the end of a long and steep tarished road. Luckily the hotel offers an transport service for the dirty road between 8am and 5pm. They also offer food(preorder only) and drinks at the bar. The staff was very nice and always helpful. Our favourite was the weekday driver. The cottage had a very nice kitchen unfortunately not much utensils in it... Being so……

“We were among the first guests to rent this peaceful accommodation. The rooms are beautifully and elegantly furnished. The kitchen is very well equipped and nothing was missing. The centrepiece is the terrace with the refreshing pool and an outdoor shower with wonderful views of the nature and the mountains. There is also a colourful garden in front of and around the house where hummingbirds and other birds can be seen. Joseph is a very friendly and attentive host. We felt very comfortable and……

“If you enjoy the outdoors, you will LOVE this cottage!! We wanted to experience Dominica and all its beauty and this property provided us more than we could have ever imagined. We woke up each morning to stunning views of the mountains and had coffee in the outdoor kitchen/living area. The location was also ideal to the local attractions and the city of Roseau. Ginette and her daughter Ari checked in daily to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone……

“Stayed here for 4 nights, the cabin is very interesting. It is in the lovely garden of the owners, a little bit outside of the main street in Calibishie, so better to have a car. The kitchen is great, bathroom also, however there is no airconditioning. The view is awesome from the hammock and terrace. The owners are very nice and friendly. Thanks!”

“Eine super Location - sehr schön ausgestattet, mitten in der Natur. Sehr freundliches Personal. Das einzige ist die Markierung für die Anfahrt - es soll besser ausgeschildert werden! Die Zufahrt ist besser mit einem etwas "höher gelegtem" Auto zu meistern, da es teilweise ein unbefestigter Weg ist. Sonst eine Idylle, richtig zu empfehlen!!!”

“Stayed at Kootney Resort for the purpose of quarantine. Stayed in a two bedroom apartment. Apartment was very spacious, each bedroom had AC, lots of fruit trees on property plus a river near by. Overall very pleasant stay.”

“The new owners were really friendly and full of local knowledge. So was Pascal the taxi driver they arranged to pick us up. But we were also given lots of privacy. The view is amazing from the studio cottage. It was well appointed and comfortable, had good wifi. It could use a memory foam for the bed though. The grounds were clean and the whole Calibishie area is safe. Dominicans are soooo friendly! ”
