“In general very good. The double bed was made of two single mattresses which was not comfortable. The shower had attachments missing but worked ok. Staff were friendly and attentive.”

“The hotel was very modern and comfortable. It felt like a cosy coffee shop in the lobby, with a lovely bar on the side. The staff in both the hotel and bar were extremely friendly and the free welcoming drink was a nice added bonus! The room was bright and the bed comfy with a lovely sea view. “Lovely breakfast, good choice of hot & cold. Friendly staff. Room nice, clean & i slept well, although my husband didnt. Good location short walk to the sea front. My only issue was being given a room that could be connecting. Which meant i could hear the people in the room next door, when they used the hairdryer in the morning.”

“We celebrated our 42nd Anniversary with an amazing seaview room with a balcony and complementary drinks. The view was fantastic.The Haddock and Chips and Taglioni Pasta at the restaurant were delicious and the chef was able to accommodate our unspicy chicken wings which was perfect! Kudos to the staff and management for the care and making our stay so memorable. We would come back.”

“A clean, well-run place. I booked at the last minute, so the email with information on accessing the place was sent by email while I was on the train. Wifi on the train was non-existent, so I had difficulty downloading the information, so I rang the landlord, who was extremely helpful. ”

Luckily, after getting to the pod, the key was there and the stay was good. It has everything you need and is in a great location. ”

“I came to Margate for an overnight solo birthday trip and I had the most wonderful time at No 42 by Guesthouse (Margate). The room was gorgeous - spacious, airy, well designed and with a balcony overlooking the beach that seats two people comfortably. There are lots of little amenities in the room that make your stay comfortable as well as supporting local businesses and artists, and the pantry is an excellent touch if you're feeling snacky. Dinner was all booked up by the time I checked in as……

“I love these type of B&B’s. This B&B is steeped in history built in the 18th century, On the land owned by the Spencer family, Vincent Van Gogh also lived on the square, so this is not a modern hotel if that’s what you’re looking for, it has steep stairs and smallish rooms, but is full of character, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the hospitality was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious, the pub on the corner is very friendly and only a short walk to the beach.”
