Sakura Hotel with Pool

"We had a very relaxing family holiday here. There were hardly any other guests when we stayed, and it was almost like having a private resort.The restaurant staff made us two lovely dinners and breakfasts, the first dinner was an intricate kaiseki spread, and the second was delicious grilled steak. Breakfast had plenty of options for both Japanese and Western style meals. The lounge area provided all the drinks and snacks and cup noodles we wanted, and we had a very nice walk around, and up into...

"This was our second stay at Asaya and we booked a suite with in-room hot springs bath. We enjoyed both public and private baths. There is nothing much to do close by, so we chose to stay back in the hotel, enjoying onsen, relaxation and their award winning breakfast and dinner buffets! Fabulous staff and service, as expected of Japanese hospitality! "

"This is a grand dame of a ryokan hotel next to a beautiful river with a scenic view of a suspension bridge and cliff. The hotel is very worn and in real need of a renovation, but the staff keep it as clean as they can. This is not a glamorous hotel and is definitely past its prime. "The area around the property was really beautiful. Several things to do, we went to the monkey show which was interesting and to Edo Wonderland, which was very cool. However, this hotel is very old and needs to be updated. The outdoor bath was nice."

"Quiet cultural experience. We were the only foreigners we could see. Beautiful property, view and area. Not a lot of places to visit but enough for 1-2 days. FYI This property is not at the Nikko city but the Nikko area. Large buffet and free drinks. Beds on the floor and daughter was really on the floor but all part of experience.
