“A beautiful, well maintained cabin with all the amenities. We spent the weekend there to attend an alumni event. It was a convenient location. The host was great and left a few special touches for us. The landscape surrounding the cabin was breathtaking. Definitely we would rent again. Thank You for experience.”

“Our stay on Craig Creek was wonderful! The weather was incredibly windy so we couldn't do much on the creek and lost power due to the insane winds Saturday but it was so lovely to be outside and exploring the area right around the cabin. Mitch reported the outage for us and called us when the power was restored to ensure everything was ok. The porch bedroom was amazing as well! It was so nice to wake up with the creek and mountain view directly in front of you and we could see the stars at……

“A very peaceful and beautiful getaway. Very secluded property with a lovely view of the river. Ideal spot to unwind and enjoy nature. The house is well-stocked, very clean, and really cozy. The host is very thoughtful and even offered to drive me to various hiking spots. There is a very nice trail very close to the house if you don't feel like driving around a lot. I would plan to get groceries before arriving since the grocery store is a bit of a drive. Highly recommend!!”

“Pros: Very quiet, comfortable beds, pretty views and sounds from the creek, hospitable and helpful host - con: slight sulfur smell from the water at times (which was disclosed and harmless), but it didn’t last and we didn’t find it bothersome. All in all, this was a well equipped and nicely located cabin which I would recommend.”

“This was our third stay at the cabin, and our third season to experience there. We have visited in the Summer, Fall and Spring and each time has been fantastic! I can't begin to express how exceptional the hosts are when we come to stay. The little touches that make this the perfect vacation show how much they care about their guests. “A group of retired couples stayed at River's Bend for New Year's weekend. We never left the place and had a fantastic time. Kitchen was well stocked, game room offered ping pong and pool, hiking right from property. The owner even took the trouble of getting 3 kayaks out of winter storage so that we could kayak on an unusually warm New Year's eve day! She was fantastic :)”

“My family recently returned from our second stay in this peaceful cabin. We made fires, cooked yummy meals and streamed the final 4 NCAA games. We also visited the town of Floyd and had lunch at the country store listening to live music. I was excited to see a bear this time, it was running away along the “front” yard when I stepped outside early one morning to take the dog out. I’ve spent a lot of time in the Appalachians and had never seen a bear before. We needed the R&R and this cabin is……

“From the arrival and the quaint little bridge to the rolling green hillsides, the towering trees, the river running next to it, and the abundance of animals (and I can only imagine Fey folk), to the sturdy and welcoming cabin, this place is paradise! Absolutely paradise!”

“Large cabin that is conveniently located near restaurants, many popular destinations and main thoroughfares. Cabin was clean and host quickly responded to any questions we had. Very steep driveway up to the cabin (yes, Roanoke has mountains!) -- but don't be discouraged -- we soon realized that parking was available in an area at bottom of hill with steps up to cabin. It was difficult to turn around at the top with a large pickup truck. Larger vehicles should park at designated area at bottom of……

We only stayed a weekend, to attend the Sounds of the Mountains storytelling festival at nearby Camp Bethel. We hope to go back when we can stay longer, to see more of the town & surrounding area.”

“Unable to get a hotel room so this was the only alternative. The RV was listed as big enough to sleep 4. Three would have been possible but 4 a stretch and there’s no way 4 people could have taken a hot shower. I got a lukewarm one day one (only in for several minutes) and my son’s was ice cold. Also the place was clean but smelled of stale beer. Also the AC ran constantly even though thermostat was set at 75 degrees. Place was frigid.”
