This is a basic, budget-friendly motel. Good restaurants and grocery store nearby. Convenient location for travel to several towns nearby. Large room and bathroom (I had accessible bathroom with grab bars), very comfortable bed. Saw the occasional dead bug, but just ordinary bugs that might get into any southern household. Used by out-of-town railroad workers while I was there, so parking could be a short walk from room. Overall a good value.

It’s an ok stay. The staff is great but the outside of the hotel is so run down. Rooms are ok. Not the cleanest and still very old looking.

I just needed a bed and a bath for the night while traveling and Days Inn suited me fine. The room was tidy and clean, had no lingering smells, or stains of a previous occupant. There was a nice sized mini-fridge and microwave, ample space to maneuver, and easy to access for someone with mobility issues. If I had neighbors I didn't know it, but I did hear some signs of life the next morning around 9 am when I woke up. If I have to stay in Salem again at some point, I will probably choose Days Inn for a good night's sleep.

Walked in lobby-portable humidifiers and portable heaters, smelled terrible. Room was to be non-smoking smelled like smoke and mold! Stains on carpet on ceilings! My husband would not let me go into room! We turned our keys back in and were told you get what you paid for! Hmmm stayed weekend before at Comfort Suites same price as nd it was amazing!

Remodeling company needed 911

The whole place could use a remodeling company's help service was helpful and friendly.. the carpets at wrinkles in them stains on them the internet was slow and janky the TV's outdated let's just say this place could use some 10 to 11 care the people that work there are great though kind friendly and helpful

The experience was exactly what I expected given the price of this hotel. Everything in the room that was fabric was very dated ie the bedding, curtains and carpet. The furniture was more modern as was the bathroom vanity. The room had large stains on the carpet and smelled of mildew. Overall it wasn't a bad experience, especially when factoring in the price. I think anything under $80 per night is fair, but if I had paid more, I would have been disappointed.

This place truly needs a serious upgrade. Had to change my room twice due to the smell of cigarette smoke. Toilet is too small. No lounging chair so I could relax.

I guess I should've known because of the price but it wasn't a good place to stay. Room wasn't good at all, I killed three cockroaches. It was adequate for what I needed but I wouldn't recommend it to others.

The staff was pleasant and location convenient. We did not see bed bugs; however, the room was disgusting and not safe. There were dead roaches, bugs, and worms all over the room's floor- in the open, under the beds, against the walls. The chain for the door had a broken link and the chain slide port was missing two of the four screws. I watched a 5-year-old open the door with the chain on, and the whole mechanism burst open. Luckily I had brought additional locks and jambs with me, or we couldn't have slept here. There was no alternative and no way to switch rooms due to the eclipse. Absolutely disgusting and very poor condition.

The room and bathroom was outdated, but clean. I like rooms with the vinyl plank or tile floors instead of carpeting, but the carpet had been vacuumed and was in decent shape. The maid staff does not clean the room on a daily basis, so the towels we had for the first night were all we had until I went to the office the next day and asked for more. On the third morning I asked for maid service with enough towels to last for the two nights left to our stay, but only one set was left after the maid service. Also, there wasn’t any coffee supplies in the room except for the one day of the maid service. I don’t have a problem with the room not being cleaned daily, but I at least need fresh towels. For the rate being charged, I shouldn’t have to ask everyday for fresh towels. Otherwise, the room was comfortable.
