The kitchen was well stocked and the beds and baths were clean and comfortable. We were close enough to town to walk to restaurants and shops. This is a quiet neighborhood in a small town, but we spent a day in St. Louis, only an hour or so away. And the eclipse, what a bonus! "The Bait Shop Cabin was perfect for our weekend anniversary trip! Luxurious touches like 2 fireplaces, a rain head shower/steamer, and an extremely comfortable king-size bed left us feeling pampered in this cozy cabin. "Four of us stayed here for the eclipse. The place was perfect for our needs. The beds were comfortable, the rooms were a lot larger than I was expecting. The nearby trains can be a little loud, however the host was prepared with earplugs for sleeping and we all slept well. It is an easy walk to downtown and restaurants. I recommend La Fuente, or Joe's Pizza. My only suggestion would be for more comfortable chairs in the living room."

"We stayed at the Nest for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is secluded and quiet for a relaxing time at the lake. The house is well stocked with items you would need for a vacation as well as having ample outdoor activities on site available for use. The lake is very calm and, during our stay, was not very trafficked. Coach was prompt as the property manager with any questions or needs. "
